    RubberSoul1990@coip great tip, you should create this as a solution because all the others only share videos of the dropping method. Had to restart the entire level after finding your comment.

    coipFor those having a really hard time doing that tricky fall in the video, I found a much simpler solution: in one of the rooms before reaching that tunnel, one can pick up a portable gravity lift. This allows you to jump all the way down to the bottom (instead of doing the tricky jump), deploy the gravity lift, and then effortlessly jump up into the concealed area to get the skull.

    Mission: Crow's Nest - Skull (Grunt Birthday) In the ventilation shaft where you meet some of the flying enemies and drop down to a lower area, before dropping down inch up to the edge of the drop and look over. You’re going to want to drop over the ledge and immediately pull back on the left thumb stick as you fall so that you land in another shaft just below you about half way down. The skull is at the end of this shaft. Start at 01:05 in the video for this.
