UPDATED - Have completely changed solution based off post-beta changes. If you feel anything is missing let me know.

When you sign into the game (after the first screen), there should be a 'Ranked Play' option at the bottom of the list. Click this and there should be an option to 'Enable Rank Chip'.

Simply play a game after you've done this and the achievement should unlock.
Note that the game will turn your ranked chip off if there aren't enough players in the game. I believe it will give you an on-screen warning if this occurs.

Since the beta ended, everyone should be able to play ranked (as in activate your ranked chip) at level 32.

Can you turn this on and off? And does it affect your normal progress? In other words: can I do this at any time and go back to normal regeneration or doesn't it affect that at all?

I want to do the achievements but I'm only at Gen 2

Yes you can turn it on and off. I believe it prevents leveling while it's on but when you turn it back off you should be fine. I'm not entirely sure of it preventing leveling though since I was max rank when it came out.

After the BETA (October 2014) everybody should be able to access ranked match when a Player reaches Level 32

The beta will last at least through October. After the beta, it will be open to all players level 32 or higher. A new season of Ranked Play will begin on the 1st of each month.

Ii suppose, there are no more invitations neccesary :-)

Yes it works.
Just level up to Level 32 and play online (e.g. Campain) with enough players ... finish one match ... et voila :-)
