For this achievement, you have to find all of the shards in every area of the game. To do this, you will have to find an ocularum (skull on the map) and guide it to points of light to make the shards show up on your map. Then you will have to go walk to each one and collect them individually.

A good tip for making them easier to find once you've marked them on an ocularum is to place a waypoint on the next shard you are going to, as it will emit a blue pillar of light into the air above the shard.

Some shards require some tricky (if not seemingly impossible at first glance) jumping. For these, I recommend switching to Cassandra, because for some reason it seems like she jumps higher than the Inquisitor does, not paricularly sure why. Especially when getting the shard in the middle of Lady Shayna's Valley in the Hinterlands (you'll see what I mean).

Once you've acquired all of the shards, travel to the Forbidden Oasis (far left on the world map) and travel to the northernmost part of the map, going through some tunnels from the Intrinsic Pools region to find the Solasan Temple. Inside you will use the shards you've acquired as keys to go through various doors to fight waves of enemies and collect loot and stat bonuses (very useful btw). Once you've unlocked the final door the achievement will pop.

PS: If you can't figure out which areas you have shards left in, hover over them in the world map and hit LB to toggle through your quests to see if you have a "Shards in ___" open there still. If you do, there are some shards left to be found. There are 104 total shards in the game.

Dank SergeantSame thing confused me at first, but once you open the last door and it says to discover what's inside, you go back to the entrance of the cave and the middle door will be open with new enemies in it. As soon as I walked in the room with the enemies the cheevo popped.

BegFourMercyThe solution should change. its not when you open the last door. Its when you head back up and enter the room that now has an open door. For people having trouble killing dragons, craft weapons with Fade Touch Obsidian. Each hit builds guard. Its op. Use the legend schematics from the free dlc black emporium.

It's true! I noticed she feels far more agile than my human male rogue when I had to climb a tree and jump to a loot chest (before kicking the demon dude out of a Keep). I guess it's because she's the same height but slimmer and lighter (not sure if Sera and Vivienne are also more agile).

To add to ST0NE C0LD ET's solution, the Jaws of Hakkon DLC adds 12 shards to collect in the Frostback Basin area.

The number of shards needed to open the temple door remains the same. If you don't feel like collecting all of the shards in the Hissing Wastes or Forbidden Oasis, you no longer need to.

RaginCajun928I ran into a bug today, it would not let me open the door without every shard, including the DLC. Maybe they patched it or I was super unlucky.

HoneyDaddyMy experience is that this solution is inaccurate. I have the shards from the DLC and missing a couple from the main game and I am told I am missing the exact number of shards from the main game.
