This cheevo will be awarded for hitting more than 95% of notes in any solo.

Choose the lead career path and pick any song that has a solo featured in it.

This is far easier if the game believes you are new to the game as it reduces the amount of notes and spaces them out so its very easy to hit every note.

If the game has adjusted and solos are too hard I believe you can go into riff repeater reduce the difficulty and continue song and then the solo should be a breeze.

I personally did this on Nirvana in Bloom (was 1st song I played after loading up game for 1st time).

Devious JediTbh I can't say for certain yes or no but I would guses not as the generally the solos are specific to the lead path.
Having said that I'm aware that lots of songs do have bass solos but in my experience rocksmith doesn't really credit them.
I will ask this question to a rocksmith group I'm in and see if anyone there has confirmed answers.

Broon43I've played Rocksmith on both 360 and the One mostly on bass guitar (about 100 hours between the two). I have yet to find a track that will show "practice this solo" for bass, and I haven't unlocked this achievement yet playing my bass. I could be wrong, but I don't think that Rocksmith recognizes the bass for solos, so from my experience, I think you need a regular guitar for this.

Devious JediBroon43, you may be right, do you have the royal blood pack?
RB are a band with just drums and bass so I wonder if they might be considered to have a solo in their songs. I dont have a bass so I cant check but worth a try

Broon43Devious Jedi, after playing a few more DLC songs on bass (No Rain by Blind Melon, for example), after progressing through the track I have been seeing a few "Riff Repeat this solo" for bass under the Rocksmith Recommends. So, I have practiced those riffs to 100% difficulty and speed, but this achievement still hasn't unlocked on bass.
So, it's still my conclusion that you'll probably need to nail a solo on lead guitar for this achievement. I think your guide will help a ton of people, myself included. I am just enjoying playing bass too much! But +1 from me anyway. Thanks!

    Devious JediHi broon43
You defo cant get the cheevo through riff repeater as far as I'm aware.
In fact that will make life a lot harder as it will put the solo at 100% notes.
If you have just started a song in learn a song mode and it has a solo but the game only puts 25% of the notes on screen and you hit 100% of those then you should pop the cheevo.
Cause of this it's one of the easiest cheevos to get, well with a guitar anyways.
