How to unlock the MVP achievement

    No longer glitched, the game awards MVP medals when you place top of the match leaderboard.
    It should unlock right as the game announcer says "game over".

    Play in public matchmaking, do the best on your team and win. Simple enough right?
    Can not be in a private match.
    A tie with another player on your team will give it to all players with the shared high score.
    It's possible to boost this by going in with a full party of the maximum amount of players.
    Getting disconnected mid-match may also award you this. I wouldn't suggest trying to cheat by shutting off your internet, that could be grounds for a ban from Halo matchmaking.

    You score points differently based upon what mode you're playing.
    Team deathmatch is kills, Capture the Flag (CTF) for flag captures, various other capture/hold/territory modes for capturing/holding.

    TitleInLargeDue to Halo being the glitchfest that it is, I lost my connection during a Bomb match. Neither team had scored a point (which only counts when you detonate a bomb). My live went down and when I logged back in, 10 seconds later, the achievement popped!!! THE FUCK!?!? lol.

    mDoolin14I played a game of crazy king and got it first try. I solely focused on staying in the hill and finished with the most time on the winning team and got MVP. This game mode was much easier for me than trying to get the most kills in a slayer game mode.

    The patch seems to have at least fixed this glitched achievement. Although, I got mine when I was disconnected from a match, so I'm not sure how "fixed" it is rather than being attainable now.

    MajimaActualcount023 - Yes this still works. And I feel like a piece of shit for doing it lol.

    What I did was at the beginning of an H2A match, as soon as the match started, I went to Settings app, went to Network, and chose Go Offline. Then I went back to MCC. It showed the end-of-match report with one person on the other team having one kill and everyone else (including me) having zero kills. Once it loaded to the main MCC menu, I went back to Settings, Network, and clicked Go Online. It automatically connected to my Wifi network and then popped the achievement.

    Easily done for those who can use Microsoft Cloud Gaming

    Step 1: Sign in with your second account on your Xbox and start the game
    Step 2: on a different device (phone, steam deck, computer), use the Cloud Gaming option on your own account
    Step 3: go to custom game, put it on Halo 2 Anniversary and slayer on both systems
    Step 4: start searching for a game on both devices at the same time.
    Step 5: you will find each other. Kill the other player through your main account (the cloud gaming account) 15 times.
