There are 4 parts to this achievement:

1) Reaching Player Level 50
2) Reaching the Los Angeles HQ via progression in the main story.
3) Earning and equipping certain perks
4) Unlocking and equipping Level 50 Platinum car parts

The guide below will go through each part in turn, although it’s important to note that they do not run in order and that you can fulfil some of each of the 4 criteria as you go along.

1) Reaching Player Level 50
The Crew has an XP system and pretty much every action in the game, be it visiting landmarks, completing missions or playing PvP matches, grants XP. Given the volume of requirements elsewhere to get this achievement, you will get to Level 50 through natural play. However, if you wish to rank up quickly, the following are some relatively pain-free methods:

• Play lots of PvP free-for-all races. They’re short and offer a lot of XP.
• Repeat lots of skills – specifically Jump Skills, which often take less than 30 seconds and can reward up to 700XP.

You can also use the ‘Missionary’ perk from Zoe, which increases the rate at which you earn XP, however be sure to leave yourself enough perk points for later.

2) Reaching the Los Angeles HQ via progression in the main story
Tuning a car to Level 1299 requires you to have certain perks maxed out (see below). One of these perks can only be purchased from ‘Vincent’, who is only unlocked once you have established the Los Angeles HQ – approximately 75% of the way through the story.

3) Earning and Equipping a Certain Perks
You earn one perk point every time you level up and can use them to buy a variety of perks from the members of your crew. Specific to this achievement there are some that you must buy and you will need 30 points in total. These are:

• One a Dime – Zoe – 5 Points – Increases your cars braking.
• Like a Glove – Omar – 5 Points – Increases your cars handling
• Light the fires – Alita – 10 points – Increase your nitrous boost.
• Shifting Gears – Roxanne – 5 points – Increases your acceleration
• Redline – Vincent – 5 points – Increases your speed.

If you’ve spent your perk points elsewhere you can always select the ‘Reset Points’ option, which allows you to reassign all of your perk points at a small cost.
In addition, at a certain point in the story you will be invited to join a faction and will be given 100,000 Crew Credits (CC) for doing so. You can actually use these CC points to buy Perk Points (which cost 2,000 CC each).

4) Unlocking and Equipment Level 50 Platinum Car Parts
Here is where the grind begins! Having reached Player Level 50, you can now complete against Platinum ‘Ghosts’ on every skill and mission in the game.

If you are successful in beating the platinum time/score you will be awarded a randomly generated Platinum car part of between level 40 and level 50. You will therefore have to keep grinding out missions until you eventually get a level 50 platinum part for each of:

• Exhaust
• E.C.U
• Fuel Injection
• Air System
• Gearbox
• Motorcore
• Tires
• Brakes
• Suspension
• Differential
• Weight Reduction

Without doubt, the best way to approach this is via the Jump Skill and I would recommend using a Performance or a Circuit car. With high speed you will clear almost all Platinum level jumps with ease and, typically, each jump only takes 20 to 30 seconds, so you also get lots of opportunities to try for that elusive level 50 car part.

For Example:
For my Platinum Level 50 Motorcore I did Jump Skill 9 (the Military Base in the Midwest). I ended up having to repeat that jump 14 times, getting a Level 41 part, then a level 44 part, then a level 42 part, then a level 49 part, then another level 44 part etc, etc. until finally getting the level 50 part. With that achieved, I then moved on to the next Jump for the next car part until they were all level 50.

If you find there is a Jump Skill you can’t do, then I would gofor an Escape or a Speed Skill that awards the car part you require and keep replaying that.

So, if you do all 4 parts above, you will have your very own 1299 car, which will be fantastic for PvP and for going back and acing some of the skill missions.

If anyone has any queries please let me know.
