Classic Mode: Waves Classic

Although this can be attained through pure skill, there is an important tactic that will significantly increase your score, allowing you to attain this achievement a lot faster, with less struggle. The key to scoring in Geometry Wars 3 are Geoms, the green shards emitted by enemies that die. These must be picked up in order for them to be added to your multiplier. Unfortunately you must pick them up with your ship, but we are not allowed to move for this. Instead, we must shoot the 3 closest orange rockets JUST as they are about to pass our ship in the center of the area. This will cause them to explode, and allow us to pick up geoms without moving. Only the closest 3/4 orange rockets are within range of our ships, so try to keep all other rockets alive while you continue to work on your multiplier. The more that you leave untouched, the more points you can get off of them later on in the game. Once you reach about 90-100 multiplier, you should begin shooting down as many ships as possible. You should pay extra attention to newly spawning rows of orange rockets, and any new blue diamonds, green diamonds and exploding pink squares. These are really the only enemies that can kill you in this mode if you remain in the center of the map. If you die with more than 500,000 the achievement will unlock after the game.
