Update 07/02/2017:
Thanks SashaMorning for pointing out the security message when clicking on the screenshot links. I pasted the links in the solution, but somehow TA seems to interpret them as HTTPS links, when it should be HTTP. I have no idea on how to insert regular HTTP links... Links are fine though, no security risk :)
Hey guys,
While EngineerJared's solution works, it requires a fair bit of knowledge of Linux or programming in general. (unfair that he got so many negative votes btw, there's nothing wrong with his solution)
However, there are Windows solutions out there. Granted, even those require a bit of programming skills to compile or even get to work. There is for example Threesus, one of the best solvers, but even that requires a manual input from users through a command prompt, which (yes, I tried) isn't very user friendly, which you can see here:
However, someone (all credits at the bottom of this post) made a visual interface for this AI, which is a whole lot better. I made some small tweaks to it, compiled it, and tested it out.
Here's some screenshots of the program in action:
Just a few pointers/tips:
- While a visual interface is still a lot better than manual input in Command Prompt, it still requires A LOT of attention and focus. Give the solver a couple of quick tries first, to get a hang of the look 'n feel.
- Please don't expect this solver to get you the 6144 achievement on your first go! The statistical chance that you get a 6144 card is still only 5%.
You can find the solver here:
http://debroin.be/ThreesGUI.zipDownload, unzip, run!
Please note, I take no credit for this program whatsoever! Threesus ai has been created by Walt Destler and the GUI around the AI has been created tomkidd. I merely made some adjustments...
I want to extend a huge thanks to SashaMorning and Har Miggido for beta testing my compiled program. Fyi: SashaMorning was able to get the Volleo achievement with this solver!
Any feedback is of course very much welcome. Please let me know what I can change. I'm not saying I will make modifications to the solver, but if I find time, I'll be sure to take your feedback and implement it.
Last note: if you give a negative vote, please tell me why. I took A LOT of time to compile a visual solution for you guys, and the testers took a lot of time to test it out. The least you can do is tell me why you give me a negative vote ;)
Enjoy!
