This is cumulative over all your games.
You are awarded a crystal skull by over doing different things.
For example, hitting a 4 shot combo will get you one. If you light up all letters of SLASH by hitting the left and right ramps ( the ones with fire going up them ) then instead of locking a ball (i.e. Ryu slicing the ball in half by hitting the ball to the upkicker behind the 3 targets on the right ) hit it up either ramp one more time.
Also hitting either left or right orbit several times would allow you to lock a ball in the upper playfield by hitting the upkicker behind the left targets. Instead hit 1 more orbit and you'll get one.
Several times I got one and I had no idea how so if you just keep playing you'll eventually get this. I think I managed 3-4 per game.
It isn't hard, just a little tedious.
You can only get these once per try per game. Like you can only get a skull by doing a 4 shot combo once per game. So that's why I could only get 3-4 per game.
It will say on the dot matrix how many you have every time you get one. That's the only way to keep track I think.
