The best playlist to go with for this achievement is swat. Objective game modes like KOTH and CTF pop up more frequently in swat than in other multiplayer playlists. Swat also is much easier for objective kills and medals because you can kill an enemy in one shot. The main medals you will be trying to get are the defensive and offensive medals. These medals are easy to get and not to challenging as long as you are decent in skill. Offensive medals involve killing the enemy team while their in the hill. Defensive medals involve killing the enemy team while your inside the hill. (If you and the enemy team are both inside the hill, no medals can be earned!)

The hard part about this achievement is that KOTH is never voted on. It is totally possible to do this solo but you will need to get lucky when KOTH pops up in the voting rotation. However, if you go into matchmaking with 3 or 4 people, chances are you will be able to play the game modes you want with your team.

Overall, this achievement only goes as fast as your skill level. So to all of you guys that are attempting to dominate this achievement, I wish you luck on your journey.

Figured I'd add a new quick guide for this for the new Reach or 2020 update to the MCC that no longer lets you do 2v2(So 2 people, each with an extra controller)on Halo CE to get this achievement.

If you try Halo CE 2v2 on Zone Control it'll say "The games included and game category combination is invalid."

Since my recent session for this was going to be trying that, it was annoying to be sure. But I and my boosting partner quickly found a new method, that could possibly be even faster then the old Halo CE one.

Pick Halo 4 2v2 on Zone Control. If you played or boosted the Gears of War series, you might know how this works. You'll be doing ring boosting as it were. For the first 5 seconds you are in the hill, you'll get the Loitering medal. So you and your partner will just take turns holding the hill for 5 seconds at a time. Just keep switching back and forth, following the hill as it does move every minute. Plus since it's Halo 4, you'll always be able to sprint, which was nice.

You can also get a medal for Hill Defense, killing a player while holding the hill. When I started I was around 35% progress into The True King, my partner was at 10%. So while ring boosting, I would bring my second controller next to the hill, so my partner could kill it, and get extra Hill Defense medals. You'll get about 10-11% towards The True King each match from the Loitering medals, and an extra 2-4% for Hill Defense.

Overall it took only about 1 hour and 15 minutes for both of us to finish. So if you are starting at 0% for The True King, it should only take you around 1 hour 30 minutes to maybe 2 hours to finish. Depending if you are getting extra medals from Hill Defense.

Bort BortsonIf you can dual box with 4 controllers you can go even faster using this method. Walk into the zone, when the medal pops up, walk out and right back in and repeat. I got at least 25 medals each game (unless the hill was on top of a platform like in Cryptic). You lose the hill if you leave so you can quickly reset the 5 second counter by just stepping out. Each match took about 5 minutes so under an hour by yourself maybe

You should check out Kexol's guide for what medals to get, but I think Halo CE is by far the best playlist to do it. 4 players max, and it also can be done with 2 people with an extra controller each. KOTH comes up in this playlist a little less than half the time.

In 2 groups of 2 search in the playlist at the same time. Communication is key, as the party leaders need to know when to stay in the lobby or back out. How you determine that is if you see the same text on screen for the 2 parties at the same time. For example: found players and connecting to players. If it's not at the same time, back out.

The way I do this is by getting double grenade kills on people inside the hill. The ones who died, has a person on there team get double grenade kills on the first team. Switch teammates that get the kills, rinse and repeat. This way you'll be boosting Double Kills, Grenade Kills, and KOTH medals at the same time.

Spend as little time in the hill as possible, to keep the game going as long as possible.Best method I've come up with, I hope it helps you.

EarthboundXJust to note, this no longer works as of 2020 and the new update to MCC, you can't select Halo CE and Zone control with 2V2.
