  At the end of Claire's first episode you will have to put a cog in a switch to open the door, afterwards multiple doors with open having afflicted come at you. Instead of turning the wheel and using the fire, fight them with your gun and melee attacks and you'll unlock the achievement!
  
  I picked off the smaller enemies with the pistol as they ran in and when the two bigger guys with the giants maces came in I ran out back to where the cells are and shot them until they died.
  
  Afterwards you have to use the crowbar to open the door and a few more enemies will come, kill them, open the door, and then go to the gate to lift it and the achievement is yours!

  Lol. I didn't even know how to use the flames. I kept the two explosives I picked up and used them at that time.

  Just like to add, if you use the flamethrower by mistake and then reload checkpoint, the achievement is still void. You will have to restart episode 1 to get it.

  - Claire's Story
  - OBJECTIVE: Escape the Facility
  - DIFFICULTY: Casual
  
  After you turned on the power and picked up the GEAR KOG, you have to fight off some zombies while Moira opens the door.
  
  Don't use the valve in the room that triggers the flame-thrower bust.
  
  Try to save some ammo for this part, especially the shotgun comes in very handy.
  
  If you are playing solo, switch to Moira when the fight starts and put her to work on the door. You can switch back immediately to Claire. Use your best weapons and keep the zombies away from Moira. She doesn't take too long and you can escape through the door.

  After you place the cog and the door opens just run towards the spinning blades in the corner, crouch and duck walk under the blades. Sometimes if your partner is too far away they will not follow you and you may need to switch between characters a couple of times.
  
  Now just wait while the first group of enemies charge into the blades and die.
  
  Next, switch to Moira and press 'A' on the bar across the exit. Now switch back to Claire and defend Moira from a couple of stragglers.
  
  Once Moira has removed the bar run past her and press 'A' on the shutter to escape the facility and the achievement is yours.

  Works perfectly, this should probably be the top solution, based on how efficient and easy it is.

  This is easily the best solution and saves ammo and time. I was just about to post this because everyone else is just using the shooting method.
