The description of this achievement is a bit misleading. This isn't for clearing the sixth stage, it's for clearing six stages in Abyss mode. Abyss is under the "Battle" section of the menu.

For those of you who don't know how Abyss works, it's actually relatively simple. During regular fights, landing hits will raise the "depth" number. Every 20 levels of depth, you'll face a boss character. These are stronger than the regulars and offer you an array of items varying from health items, stat boosts (Attack and Defense are highly recommended) and skills. Skills can be equipped to your character for unique bonuses. You're given 3 slots for skills. Some skills take up multiple slots depending on their effects. It's worth looking at skills when you earn them, just to see if they're worth picking up.

Anyway, you'll be required to complete the first level before you can choose any others. This is a depth 100 course. Once you complete it, you'll be able to choose which level you want. Again, despite the fact it says "Completed stage 6", you won't get the achievement for skipping the others and doing this one immediately. That said, the enemies in Stage 6 will be buffed up with stat boosters that make it much more difficult for a person that just finished Stage 1. It's for this reason that you should do the stages in order, to slowly boost your stats and earn a couple of useful skills. You can replay the previous course if you don't feel you're strong enough for the next one in order to bolster your stats and make this a bit easier.

Once you've completed your 6th course, the achievement will unlock. The order you do them in doesn't matter, but it is recommended you go in order to make things a bit easier on yourself.

If you are looking for an easy character to approach this I just did it as Carl Clover.

I started fresh with Carl and beat his stage 1 using just Con Fuoco. That is his move that is a half circle forward and D. It sends Ada dashing forward with her hand outstretched as a multihitting drill attack.

I would stay on the far side of the screen and repeat that. Once I got enough super meter I would do Rhapsody of Memories which is down to forward twice and D to finish them off.

In the low level survival the computer doesn't understand what to do about Ada and takes the hits. Once stage 1 is complete you unlock the skill "Nirvana Unleashed" which increases Ada's attack power. I also go lucky and found the "Lucky Punch" that gives each hit a chance for crit.

With both skills Ada just melts the computers health. I didn't realize that I needed to do 6 stages so I jumped straight to Stage 6 after beating stage 1 and walked all over it. The only time I had any trouble was the final boss on floor 200 which is Terumi. He could kill me in one super so that took a couple of tries before I figured out the AI and beat him.

A couple of tries? You ask. Yes. The game only saves after a match. So if it looks like you are about to lose you can pause the game and quit to the dash board. When you load the game back up you will be at your last save.

Makes this achievement incredibly easy. And with Carl I never had to learn a combo, just how to avoid the AI.
