Stinking Rebels - Brand 5 Bodyguards of a Warchief, turning them against him in combat.
    Difficulty - Medium
    Length - Medium

    Pre-requisite:
You need to unlock the Brand and Command abilities. These are unlocked later on, in the 2nd map.

In Sauron's army, when you highlight a Warchief, you can see how many and which captains are his bodyguards by looking at the lines from the Warchief to the Captains. It will be faster to pick the Warchief with the most bodyguards.

    Preparation:
You will probably combine these 2 tactics to turn a bodyguard against his Warchief.
1- Turn an existing bodyguard against him
2- Make any other Captain a bodyguard

1- To turn an existing bodyguard against him, find the Captain free-roaming or in a Power Struggle. You need to Dominate him and press cn_Y to Command him. Select his Warchief to Betray him.

2- Find any Captain you want and fight him to eventually Dominate him. Again, press cn_Y to Command him. Select the Warchief to Infiltrate. Once you do this, a blue Power Struggle icon will appear for this Captain. You need to go to it and help him succeed. When he succeeds, he becomes a Branded bodyguard. Since this is longer, this is why I recommend to pick the Warchief with the most bodyguards before starting this.

Note: You can Brand a Captain first, then you can easily grab him and Dominate him without problems.
Note2: Many ways to Brand a Captain, if Vulnerable to Stealth Finishers, you can Brand him without any actual fights cn_RT + cn_B from behind or from Above. If Vulnerable to Combat Finishers, you can brand him in combat when you reach x5 (or x8 without the Upgrade) by pressing cn_A+cn_B. If none of these, you need to fight him until the skull is green.

    Execution:
Once the Warchief has 5 Branded bodyguards, you need to find his mission on the map and do whatever objective needed to lure him out. When he comes out, you should see him followed by your 5 Branded bodyguards, with a blue skull. Now, press cn_up to activate them.
    Achievement unlocked.

Warboy925I got this during the part of the story where

    *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

I had 1/5, and when one of his bodyguards killed him, the bodyguard turned into a warchief so now I'm 2/5......awesome!!!

illdizzogJust for further information, I did'nt even have to activate the bodyguards, I simply lured the Warchief out and as soon as we started fighting the achievement popped.

savedbyjc12What Guyline said is completely true! I actually had the unfortunate luck of one of the other guys, and had only 3 bodyguards spawn the first time. I activated them anyways just to check, of course it didn't work and the warchief was killed. One of my branded captains took his place, so I simply needed to brand one more captain and have him become a bodyguard for the branded warchief. I started the 'mission' that simply called the warchief out, and pressed up on D-pad. Wall-ah. Achievement popped.

    RuhanRVery helpful solution, thank you.

SolidVexedI confirm that it's sufficient to summon a branded warchief with 5 branded bodyfuards and press Up on the Dpad to pop the achievement.

NessNoldoI found a warchief with 3 bodyguards already, so I searched for those bodyguards to brand them and just had to search and brand 2 more. Once with 5 branded, I did the requirements for the warchief to show up with his 5 bodyguards (didn't had any issues with that as some players). I have to say that I had to activate Up in the D-Pad for they to fight and achievement finally pops. rockEven so, took me more time than expected.

alpaca777When you betray the warchief with a branded bodyguard that was already his bodyguard, doesn’t that naturally create a power struggle by him wanting to kill the warchief?

Tanelorn82I'm sorry alpaca777, but I wrote that years ago and I don't remember all the mechanics anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Funny thing, I started the sequel few days ago.

alpaca777I got it, the Betray powerstruggle actually will actually not only make the warchief appear but he will also be with all his other branded bodyguards.... so you keep this one for last once you have at least 5 bodyguards for your warchief. There is no limit to how many bodyguards a warchief can have, so I branded 6 just in case one died from RNG or something. All in all good solution!

dazza61I'm having problems with this. For one I can't make a branded Uruk betray his branded warchief and when you summon the warchief with his 7 bodyguards (tried with 5 and 6 with different branded warchiefs) if you press up they all just go confused and laugh at each other. Gonna have to get these 7 to start their initiation with an unbranded warchief and go from there. Maybe its because I have Beck and call active after all the 5 warchiefs were branded? (Mind you game is glitchy as it didn't award the Gorthaur the Cruel achievement)
Edit: Tried with 6 bodyguards (made them leave the branded warchief by initiation) - drew him out, hit him , got the meeting battle animation, pressed up on D pad , bodyguards killed him and no achievement .....well that's 2 failed achievements now jeeez....
Edit 2: Third partial playthrough and still no achievement
Edit 3: Fourth partial playthrough. Reset console (which now resets profile on Series X) , deleted persistent storage, deleted both cloud and console saves for the game, moved game installation from External SSD (official MS one) to Internal SSD - and finally this popped along with the other glitched ones so have 100%ed the game now. Not sure if I wanna play Shadow of War though as its marked as buggy on here....
