  Hey guys, I found an easier way to achieve 100000 coins without tedious grinding of harder levels. For my purposes I used Chunk for his extended uppercut and dashes. Then I earned a double jump. For the easy grind, play World 1-3 and earn as many coins as you can without getting hit. If possible, earn a "max coin loss" powerup to avoid these problems. Finally, bank the coins! Although it skips after 300 coins, it will immediately bank the other coins and you can repeat the level again! Sorry for the long post and happy hunting!

  Man this is annoying grind..what's worse is it stopped tracking for me. I'm stuck at 59%. Has this happened to anyone? Not sure what's going on. Especially frustrating given this game became garbage After the first playthrough

  TO CONFIRM: This achievement only "logs" your coins when you finish the round. One the ROUND COMPLETE screen, your Achievement total should increase.
  
  It does NOT log as you play, or if you die.

  Grind out coins on Level 1-3, it has easy enemies and not a lot of environmental threats! Feel free to get to Level 4-4 and backtrack to Level 1-3 with all your upgrades.
  
  If you get the "Max Coin Loss" upgrade it can help while grinding as it will limit the loss if you manage to get hit during your run.
  
  I also advise banking your coins after you get hit for the first time to play it safe :P
