How to unlock the General Executioner achievement

For this achievement you have to unlock the in game achievement General Executioner. You will have to kill all 16 of Molag Bal’s generals that appear at the Dark Anchors. There is a small chance that the Dark Anchor boss is one of the 16 generals of Molag Bal. For this achievement you have to farm a lot of Dark Anchors before you have defeated all of the generals.

There are 3 Dark Anchors in each zone. The easiest way to get the achievement is to catch up with the spawn direction of the dark anchors. If you are doing this right you will be able to hit every single Dark Anchor in a zone. If you're a high enough level to solo them it will increase the completion time, you can even get ahead of the spawn and have to wait a bit at the next Dark Anchor. The only difference with more players is that it takes longer (as more mobs spawn). It also takes 10 minutes for the Dark Anchors to respawn.

No generals can spawn in the first major zone of any alliance: Auridon, Glenumbra and Stonefalls, but after that a set of four generals spawn in each different normal zone. In veteran zones or Cyrodiil every general can spawn. (EDIT: Since 1 Tamriel update every general can spawn at every dark anchor)

The list below shows which zone’s Dark Anchors you will need to farm for a specific general.

Second zone: Grahtwood, Stormhaven and Deshaan

    - Destroy the Torturers
    - Destroy the Ogrim Brothers
    - Destroy the Dremora Pirate
    - Destroy Traveling Dremora

Third zone: Greenshade, Rivenspire and Shadowfen

    - Destroy the Daedroth of Kora-Dur
    - Destroy the Ever-Open Eye
    - Destroy the Daedroth General
    - Destroy the Devourer of Souls

Fourth zone: Malabal Tor, Alik’r Desert, Eastmarch

    - Destroy the Frost Lord
    - Destroy the Storm Lord
    - Destroy the Xivilai Slavemasters
    - Destroy the Seductive Sisters

Fifth zone: Reaper’s March, Bangkorai and The Rift

    - Destroy the Verkarth Vampire
    - Destroy the Crescent Dremora
    - Destroy the Lich of Mournhold
    - Destroy the Son of Molag Bal

SynzWith The One Tamriel update every zone can now spawn any of Molag Bal’s Generals. In addition, achievements from players involved with an anchor are now taken into account when Generals spawn. This is a much easier achievement than before the update.

erod550If you do the 3 dolmens in Alik'r Desert, you'll eventually get this achievement. There's a zerg running these 24 hours a day so just go there and type "lfdg" in the zone chat and you'll get in a group and after several hours of repeating the 3 dolmens this achievement will come. I never did a dolmen in any other zone and got this achievement without even trying while grinding levels.

For this achievement you need to kill each of Molag Bal's generals at the Dark Anchors in Tamriel. There are 16 total (listed below) and you can also keep track by going to your in game journal and under the Dark Anchors section will be an in-game achievement conveniently named General Executioner. By highlighting this achievement in your menu you can see a list of all the generals you have killed (which will be highlighted) and the ones you haven't (which will be in light grey)

Now, any of the generals can spawn at any Dolmen (aka the Dark Anchors). It is completely random if a general spawns or a general daedra spawns so you have to keep grinding.

There are a total of 3 Dark Anchors in each Zone with 12 in Cyrodiil. Use this link to go to a site that has each dark anchor location with a map of each location if you want to know where the Dark Anchors are in each zone:

This game has been updated since the other guides were written in 2017 and this achievement is just slightly easier. ANY General can spawn at ANY anchor/dolmen now:

There are 16 generals which you can see listed in your Journal->Exploration->Dark Anchors section. Unfortunately, these Generals do not spawn at every anchor/dolmen every time so may the odds be ever in your favor. I would recommend working toward the other achievement Anchor's Away to make this feel like less of a grind
The Elder Scrolls OnlineAnchors AwayCheevoMamaThe Anchors Away achievement in The Elder Scrolls Online worth 264 pointsDestroy every Dark Anchor in Tamriel.

After completing all 100 anchors, I would suggest heading to the Alik'r Desert (Daggerfall area south of Stormhaven.) All three anchors here are very close together and can be chained together by riding/traveling in a circle. In addition, this is a common grind spot for XP, so the anchors will be closed super quickly by the big mob rotating with you.

If you find that you only have a couple more Generals left and are not having any RNG luck in Alik'r, head back to Stormhaven and find a less populated anchor. In the new update, when a General spawns, it takes into consideration what Generals the folks attacking the anchor need. Therefore, a less populated anchor will increase your odds of getting the desired General.
