WARNING: DO NOT UPDATE TO 1.8.88.0, which was released on 2/15/2016. Curses have been removed from the game with this update! If you have downloaded the game after this date, this achievement will not be obtainable.
Curses can be purchased from the Curses section in the Shop, and require a friend (either via Xbox LIVE or Facebook) to send to that has played the game.
Pre 1.5.70:
This version does not have the VCR Repair curse available, which means that this achievement is unobtainable on this version. However, progress carries over when updating to 1.5.70 based on which curses you have previous sent, and the relics you have collected. Take advantage, if you are on this version, to send all of the available curses before updating.
1.5.70:
Curses are available in the "Story" mode for the game, and require completion of the following levels to unlock:
Level 20: 8-Bit Blues
Level 21: Neon Nights
Level 26: VCR Repair
Level 35: Fun House
Level 40: Tunnel Vision
Level 66: Vertigo Poison
Please note that VCR Repair is only available in the 1.5.70 version of the game. Older versions of the game did not contain this curse, which makes the achievement unobtainable in older versions of the game.
UPDATED 10/29/15: The update is now available on Windows Phone 8.1, but the game is still not listed in the Microsoft Store. If you have the game currently installed, open the Store application (the phone's Store application, not in-game Store), press the "..." button at the bottom-right and select "Settings". Press the "Check for Updates" button, and the game should show up in your download queue. |
