How to unlock the Monumental Thirst! achievement

    Note that the can no longer appears in Forge mode. You must do this in a multiplayer or custom match.

    This location is by far easier to show than explain, so I highly recommend you use the video guide below.

    Start a custom game of Halo 2 Snipers on the map Remnant.

    Stand on the beach near the crashed ship opposite the tower structure. If you face the tower with the beach at your back, the Blast soda can will be just offshore to your left, and possibly slightly behind you. Head that direction and stand on the rocks overlooking the water. Look straight down over the edge and you should see two rocks in the water. The can is just between them, under the water. Zoom in with your sniper rifle and you should have no trouble seeing it. Simply shoot the can and the achievement is yours!

    UNSC Jon 117Custom game Remnant/Snipers worked; however, be aware that if teamed, only the team leader will get it - even if you exit, switch leaders, and go back in. My wife had to leave team and go in solo to get it.

    Gametype: Forge (Recommended)
    Map: Remnant

    Once on the map, feel free to spawn yourself a Sniper Rifle in order to make things easier. Now, you'll want to head to the side of the beach that the front of the tower faces, near the structure that is embedded into the rock face, with a rock archway nearby. From the rock archway, walk directly to the cliff shoreline nearest your location. Look down into the water, and you'll notice 2 rocks in the shallow water. In between them, you should be able to spot the BLAST Soda can barely under the surface of the water. Shoot it to unlock the achievement.

    meatman75Tried 3 times using forge mode and nothing. Loaded up a custom game, worked the first time.

    DoomScott100% needs to be on custom not forge. My friend and I both tried separately several times on forge and nothing. Got first time on custom.

    Hungrydoor14This IS possible in Forge. I made a Forge match, picked Remnant (NOT REMNANT ANNIV) and it popped first try.

    I found the Blast soda can on Remnant under the water by the cliff opposite the Warthog.

    To start:

    1. Load up a Custom Game (Gametype doesn't matter) in Halo 2 Anniversary on Remnant (not Relic Anniversary).

    2. Position yourself facing the Warthog spawn by the Archway with the Speed Boost pickup.

    3. Turn right towards the coast and follow the large rock on the edge of the map.

    4. Look down and around the sea foam at the base of the island and you will see the Blast Soda Can just underneath the surface of the water.

    Edit: Thanks to Whaticles for clarifying that this must be done on Remnant, not Relic Anniversary.

    Edit 2: After re-watching my own clip about a thousand times and not being happy with it, I have gone back in and re-recorded the video guide to be easier to follow.
