This is achieved during the Epilogue. Watch up until Johnson approaches the engineer. As soon as Sergeant Johnson says "And then, you're gonna help me stop him" look left with the right stick (the same way you would look left when playing) and you should see Buck picking a Monkey's hair. The achievement will then unlock.

RedErrorCDIVIf it's not working, try wiggling the mouse/control stick back and forth during the scene. Unlocked on Steam and Xbox Live for me when I did that.

johnnyboy23After the achievement failed to pop several times, I upped my look sensitivity to the max and it worked. I read that tip in another comment and thought “no way” but here we are. I also did it on legendary versus easy for all the other attempts. Not sure if that had an effect as well.

    Mission: Epilogue
    Difficulty: Any

Start the mission and wait about 2 minutes until Sgt. Johnson sits down to light his cigar and says "And the you're gonna help me stop him". At this point use the Right Stick to look left cn_RSl, causing the camera to pan over to Buck playing with a caveman. Seeing this Easter Egg will trigger the achievement.

I think you guys are going to love this. I was afraid that I would have to reinstall the game or even delete my profile data for TMCC, but thankfully none of this was necessary.

If the achievement has glitched for you (as of January, 2016 it was still glitchy for me, playing for the first time now and after all patches) and you have a secondary controller, do as I did. I logged on a second profile (not a guest) to more easily track the audio logs. But before doing that I decided to give it another go for this achievement.

As soon as it said "Prologue" I started holding the RIGHT stick to the LEFT, all the way throughout the scene until Buck and the "Ape/Caveman" showed up. First the achievement unlocked for my secondary account and then, much to my joy, it finally unlocked for my primary as well.

Note that I had previously done the above methods many many times and the achievement refused to unlock to my primary. I guess I've found a nice way to un-glitch it. I hope somebody can eventually confirm if this works using a guest account as well.

If this solution helps you in any way, please leave a comment and a thumbs up to let me know. Thanks.

borstentierchenThat did the trick - thank you!
Tried to unlock this achievement solo and with remote coop buddies multiple times. Never popped.
First try with a local secondary controller and account. Ding!

togethawiistandYou're welcome! It's nice to hear that!
I forgot many things about this game, just 5 years ago, but I do remember this magic monkey moment, lol.
Thanks for letting me know smile
