As VirusTk GaMBit said, this is extremely easy to knock out during the "Armored and Dangerous" side mission, which will also net you the "Road To Hell" achievement for taking out all APC units. However, the use of
to smash the enemy vehicles doesn't necessarily work all that well and requires a lot of careful timing of using the afterburner to destroy the enemy.
As you are chasing down the APC units, they will call on support units (basically Hummers) to try to shake you off their tail and fire missiles at you. DO NOT USE THE IMMOBILIZER (
)! Taking shots at anything but the APC you're trailing will void the chance to smash them off the road.
Some of the vehicles will pull up beside you from behind, at which point you will need to use the side swipe (
or
plus
) to smash the enemy vehicle into the wall/railing. Whenever you destroy an enemy vehicle, the game will slow ala Burnout Revenge's takedowns, and you'll know it counts towards your ten.
