The Nail Gun is a new "battle pickup" weapon that can be found in set locations around the 4 new criminal activity maps (Code Blue, Backwoods, The Beat, & Black Friday). [UPDATED DECEMBER 2015] It can also be found on the new free for everyone DLC "Blackout" map pack's "Night Woods" map (which is a night time version of Backwoods). Therefore just like the Tommy's Favorite, Grandpa's Automatic and various other DLC achievements, you can now obtain this achievement without purchasing the Criminal Activity DLC map pack by solely playing the Night Woods map.

The Nail Gun has 10 'rounds' per clip and 3 extra magazines. It does a minimum of 15-25 damage / nail, but is a "one-hit" kill headshot. As with all weapons in Battlefield Hardline, there is "bullet drop off damage". That basically means that the closer you are to your target, the more damage the round/nail will inflict on your enemy. At close range the damage modifier increases and equates a non-headshot nail hit marker inflicting 45-55 damage / nail. This effectively makes it a "2-hit kill" weapon at point-blank range (without a headshot). The "bullet drop off damage" for this weapon is greater than the typical weapons found in Hardline and legit kills with this weapon should not be attempted from > 20 m away. There is no sights on the nail gun (except default "iron sights") but close up you will easily get a feel for the headshot sweet spot.

It can be located on the minimap when close by as a "PDW" looking symbol. It can be used with any class. There is no exact way to track the number of kills for this weapon past the first 15 kills. The first 15 kills can be tracked in your assignments tab of battlelog under the "Original Tactics" assignment. Past the first 15, it would be best to keep track yourself. It respawns every 2 minutes. So even if every round is a headshot, you will need more than one nail gun as they can not resupply ammo from an ammo box. Therefore it is best to boost near one of the nail gun spawn locations.

BOOSTING This achievement will take roughly 1 hour. 4 players / boosters are required to start a match. Finding an empty server is not a problem , but randoms will generally join after a short while. Quickest would be to rent a server and play on bounty hunter game mode with lowest possible respawn times and max time limit. Have at least 2 players have a respawn beacon ("Satellite Phone" found under mechanic class) unlocked. At least 2 with this beacon so that there will always be one regardless of whose turn it is to do the killing. Move 3 players to 1 team and have the 4th player constantly kill respawning enemies with nail gun, trying for headshots. As long as the bounty coin that is dropped by the killed enemy is not picked up the score will remain 0 - 0 and you can kill like this until the time ends for match.
