The pro season removes all assists and forces you into the cockpit view, if this isn't your normal driving style (like me) you will struggle to get to grips with manual gears and the lack of visibility

The description is a little misleading in that if you qualify 16th it will not count, basically you have to make it to Q2 making the lowest grid position you can get 15th.

OK, so I struggled with this until I found a neat little trick.

Firstly, you ARE able to start over and qualify for the same race over and over.
What I mean is that you can get to Q2 in the Australian GP and then start the season over and do it again another 4 times (from what I have found qualifying has to end, retire from Q2 and let race day start for it to count)
The benefit of this is that you only learn one track, when to shift gears and how to take the corners so getting a good time becomes easier

Secondly, and here's the trick I used, even though you don't get flashbacks you can abuse the mid-session save feature.
It pretty much works the same as a flashback!

There are two ways to abuse this, what I did was save before the last two corners of your out lap to ensure you get a good run into the starting straight (DRS open and fuel mix to 3), if you mess up reload the save and try again.
I did this after every couple of corners, save when you do well and reload when you don't.

The other way is to save after you mess up, load that save straight away and you will basically be in the 'flashback' replay thing and can start over - this way has a risk though, if you wreck your car you have no save to re-load so I would suggest method 1

Actually getting a good enough time to get into Q2 is up to you but I hope this will help

For the Aussie GP I needed a time lower than 1:30.500 usually so if you do that one then that's what you should aim for.

Don't forget that these will be long race weekends, therefore you will have to go through, or retire from, the three practice sessions before starting Q1

If it is raining on qualifying day retire for the session, then retire from the race before starting the season over. I found if I restarted without doing this it would be raining again ... only had to do it once though

Finally I'd suggest going out on track straight away, there will be 3 cars that come out right behind you, let them pass and you will have a clear track so no pressure (the AI drivers tended to bash into me a lot)

Sean Reinhardl has commented with a car setup, not tested by myself but others have said it makes this easier so give that a go if you are struggling
