How to unlock the Splashing Out achievement

    This achievement is obtained by purchasing a new ship of any kind.

    To do this, you will need to travel to any Starport or Hub that has a Shipyard. (Outpost stations do not have Shipyards.) Upon docking, hit cn_A on Starport services option, scroll down to select Shipyard and browse all the ships that Starport has for sale. If you're just going for the achievement I believe you can purchase another starting ship (Sidewinder Mk. I)

    You start with the smallest of ships - the sidewinder - and your target is to get enough credits to buy a better ship. You can not buy ships at every station. If you find one, I'd advice to bookmark this station. An example is Ackerman Market in ERAVATE.

    The cheapest ships are:

    32,000 CR - Sidewinder (not adviced as this is what you already have)
    44,800 CR - Eagly MKII (a small fighter)
    52,720 CR - Hauler (a small transporter)

    A good way to get some credits early in the game is doing courier and delivery missions. "Boom Data Deliveries" will give you 10.000 CR and more. And they usually don't require any cargo space. This means you can trade some commodities along the way which will also make some money and helps with the Sell at X markets. Always have something to sell in your cargo space.

    It may be a good choice to prefer the courier and delivery missions that are less than 7 LY away because this is roughly the maximum for a hyper jump with the starting ship. So you can jump to your destiny directly.

    And alway watch your fuel and fill up at every station.
