    To unlock you must simply complete the story mode beating all eight opponents using Cinder on any difficulty earning any objectives.

    If you want progress towards :
    Killer InstinctRivaled!The Rivaled! achievement in Killer Instinct worth 338 pointsComplete Season 2 Story Mode

    He has three objectives, and all can be completed in one run.

    1) Beat story mode. Simply win all eight fights.

    2) Ultra combo every opponent. See number 3.

    3) Ultra combo Glacius. Simply beat Glacius with an Ultra in the seventh fight. His ultra is cn_downcn_downleftcn_left+cn_LT when Glacius's health is reading 'danger'.

    Ultra every opponent like this to earn objective number 2.

    Normally I have no issues with ultras but I can't consistently get an opener to work for Cinder. I've been using <-, ->, X, but sometimes it seems like it just hits instead of starting a combo or I fireball in the opposite direction.

    How do you start combos with Cinder to get the ultras to work consistently.

    LavindatharI didn't. That's why they chose Cinder for this objective, as he is a character not built around combos. He's built around an opener, auto then a buff ender.

    The only real way I consistently got it, was to save two full shadow bars for the end. When they got to 30% health, I'd use a bar to create an opening with cn_leftcn_rightcn_RT. If it landed, I'd use the second and then do the ultra.

    If I thought I'd fail, I would lose so I could restart. This took me two hours, as I failed twice on 7 and once on 6...each time missing the ultra and killing him

    Great advice saving the shadow meter; it's much easier to ultra off the shadow move.

    Anyone having trouble with the "Ultra every opponent" challenge, try this combo before inputting ultra;
    cn_X -> cn_Y -> cn_RB -> cn_upright -> cn_RT -> cn_down + cn_RT -> cn_X
    then input cn_down cn_downleft cn_left cn_LT (ultra)
    should get an ultra down in a reliable fashion haha

    or if you wanna cheese it..
    cn_upright -> cn_B -> cn_X -> ultra
    falling medium kick into light auto will be enough to start up an ultra

    For anyone who is using combo assist, start a combo with cn_X and finish it with cn_LT when the opponent is showing danger.

    I was able to get an ultra every time with this method.
