Running forward for a good few minutes will get you a decent amount of the common biomes. Here are some seeds of the more harder to find biomes that I've found:

1507532159 will spawn you close to some ice plains. Wander further and you'll find ice plains spikes which count as a different biome (correct me in the comments if I'm wrong).

1405119578 will spawn you right next to a mesa biome.

-479955565 will spawn you in between a swamp and a dense forest.

1984360436 will spawn you in the middle of spruce forest. Not sure if this counts as a separate biome to a regular forest but it's neat nonetheless!

-1914524235 will spawn you close to a mega spruce taiga biome.

-1486134807 will spawn you relatively near a roofed forest. You will spawn on a plains biome so if you have a large enough draw distance, you'll find it easily.

I'll update as I find more. Feel free to comment on seeds you've found and I'll credit you for your work. Hope this helps. Happy hunting!

-200889213 will spawn you in between desert village and a normal village. Not much to see on the surface. Although, you can dig down from the desert village and find a stronghold. The End portal is pretty easy to find (make a separate creative world to find it if you're struggling). Save this one for when the folks at Mojang update and make the End accessible.

*Update 02/09/15* - SKIN RIP has reminded me that this achievement is obtainable only in survival mode. I used 'infinite' world types for each seed. Your result may be different when using different world types.

Sitop ApenI was stuck at 100% on the progress bar and it wasn't unlocking. Eventually I got it.
What I think happened was that they patched in new biomes, but didn't include those new biomes in the list that get you the achievement. So you have to visit 17 older biomes.
Hope that made sense and helps some people out!

DottyRoxy69I found this website, Ren has listed many but if you wanted some interesting spawns, the mesa is a nice one, either way the Giant Spruce Tagia was my last one :)

Adding to RenzG1's awesome list of seeds above:

1417267005 will spawn you very close to a mycellium biome that is touching the mainland. This was the last biome I needed to complete the achievement.

Create new world, select 'generate random', leave the seed selection box blank but click the arrow next to it. This will then give you 18 different Biomes to select and load up. I worked through all of these and the achievement popped. Not a huge Mine craft player so maybe an update has made this easier since the last solution?

fighterx93chipp has confirmed that this also works for the android version.

I have created a world that lets you get the Adventuring Time and Sail the 7 Seas achievement.
All you do is you turn to the opposite direction of the signs and step on every glass block that was placed. By doing this, the game will see that you walked through all the blocks with the biomes in it and you will get those 2 achievements.
    World Link (.MCPACK) :
(This is not cheating, it may look like it but Minecraft allows you to import worlds without directly going into the files.)

BulletLukey has made an awesome world for this. You can join our realm (as long as it still runs) or download the world yourself.

    *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

In this world, simply go to the respective area. Simply keep using the teleporter to unlock the achievement.
