How to unlock the Passing the Time achievement

    This achievement requires you to complete 100 in-game days on survival mode.

    According to Noodles Jr (whose guide can be found on the Xbox 360 version of this achievement), this requires 33.3 (real life) hours of gameplay. For those who are playing casually and/or are going for all achievements, this achievement will eventually be unlocked without any effort.

    In addition, this achievement is cumulative, making it even easier to unlock. In other words, you can change worlds many times as you wish and still retain the clocked hours.

    you can't just keep importing and deleting a world next to a bed at dusk it seems, but every external world added can tick off at least 1% towards the goal - maybe a pool of 100 world exports would drop it to ~ 45mins of "work"? - WestsideSxE

    Just thought I'd chime in with my method: I plugged in an Xbox One controller and rubberbanded the right thumbstick, while also weighing down the S key on the keyboard so my character moved in a constant circle in my house and let it run while I went to sleep. In 11-12 hours I've gone from 28% to 68%. - N7 Guerilla

    Apparently if you press 'E' to pull up your inventory, the game's time will continue to progress. From there, you can actually leave the window and use your computer normally without having to worry about the game pausing. After watching a few (in-game) days rolled by, my character still didn't require food when I exited the inventory screen.

    I refreshed the Xbox app during every night cycle and witnessed the percentage progress increase. If someone else could confirm this, we might have a suitable AFK method.     - Yin

    DoomScottUsing the Achievement World was SO fast that I literally got all other achievements and was only at 90/100 days laugh

    In this world, it takes roughly 3,5 hours to get the achievement!

    You will need to play for 100 in-game days. Sleeping in game does not speed up the progress. You can track your progress, if you go to the ingame achievements tab. I would advise you to let your device idle for a while. 100 in game days translates to 33 1/3 hour (1 ingame day is 20 minutes long).
