In order to get this achievement, you simply have to have 3 damaged components of your tank, depending on your tank's Tier level, you can have a multitude of components. Tank components are broken down into two categories:
Tank part components:- Tank track (
NOTE: each track counts as it's own individual component, so if both are damaged, then you have 2 damaged tank components)
- Turret
- Gun
- Engine
Tank crew components:- Commander
- Gunner
- Radio Operator
- Driver
- Loader
NOTE: On some tanks certain crew members can do multiple roles (i.e. Commander can also be radio operator).
After you've selected your tank, be sure to
remove any size repair kits/first aid kits from your tank setup since pressing
will fully repair any damaged component on your tank (the same goes for injured crew when you press
)
The way to get this achievement is based more on having the right type of vehicle that can take a lot of hits. Your best bet is to use a tank with heavy frontal armor. The tank I used to unlock this achievement was the British Tier VII AT-7 Tank destroyer. When go into a round, once you have your three damaged components--and if your team is awesome at winning--just go ahead and fall back from the rest of your team and wait until it's all over. Once you've won the round and you go to the results screen, your achievement should pop up.
