EDIT: 02/20/16

Some new information about "The Story of John Henry 3" has been posted in the comments. Thanks for that!

"This list is very good and I found all but story of John Henry part 3. After googling it, everywhere references either in a boxcar between arcade and haunted cars or a mound of dirt being the car with the model train on top. It is not there. It is on a shelf in Casey Jones house in the achinson camp.

Hi,
as mentioned in the other solution this achievement requires you to collect 46 books in the different locations of the wasteland.

I was searching for guides on the internet but found many of them to be quite inaccurate since they refered to the PC version of the game. Some (not all, though) locations differ in the director's cut. Therefore, I want to add the list below. This list contains the locations of the books as you can find them in the director's cut.

Arizona: 35 Books

Ag Center - Central Complex: Lab Journal, found on Rose's Desk.
Ag Center - Basement: History of the Ag Center Part 3, found in the room with Skinner on the left side of the mushroom cave.
Ag Center - East Field: History of the Ag Center Part 4, found in a safe in a building near the area's entrance.
Ag Center - West Field: Garden Journal, found in a dig mound in the Northwest (Perception of 4+ Required)
Ag Center - West Field: History of the Ag Center Part 2, Pickup
Ag Center - Lab Area: History of the Ag Center Part 1, found in Matt Forrestal's safe. Code is 80085.
Ranger Citadel: Intelligence Report Part 1, on a shelf near Cartographer Thrasher
Ranger Citadel: Intelligence Report Part 2, on a shelf in Museum
Ranger Citadel: Memories of My Time in the Rangers Part 1/2, on a shelf in Vargas's Office
Ranger Citadel: Memories of My Time in the Rangers Part 3, on a shelf in Museum
Ranger Citadel: The History of the Desert Rangers Part 1/2/5, on a shelf in Museum
Ranger Citadel: The History of the Desert Rangers Part 3/6, on a shelf next to the cartographer
Ranger Citadel: The History of the Desert Rangers Part 4, give a bunch of pain killers to the doctor
Rail Nomads: The Story of John Henry Part 1, on a shelf in the meeting hall
Rail Nomads: The Story of John Henry Part 2, on a shelf inside Casey's yurt
Rail Nomads: The Story of John Henry Part 3, in the boxcar between the arcade and haunted cars
Prison Valley: Farmer's diary Part 1, on a dead body near the entrance, to the left
Prison Valley: Farmer's diary Part 2, in a locked chest near Brown's farm
Prison Valley: Farmer's diary Part 3, in a dresser next to Anna (she asks you to kill her)
Prison: Anger Management for Angry Managers, kill the RSM heavy gunner just south of the farm
Prison: Farmer's diary Part 4, in a chest in Auwaerter Farm (near the red kennel)
Canyon of Titan: Your Friend The Great Glow, dig spot in the raider camp with Tom's wife
Temple of Titan: The Servants of Titan Part 1/2/3, on a shelf near the monks on the east side
Damonta: Blood-stained journal, on a corpse in the Northeast section of the map
Damonta: The History of the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, corpse in the Southwest section of the map
Damonta: KPOW playlist for Monday July 21st, inside Werewolf Wally's office
Silo 7: Double Six tragedy report, found in the Sierra Madre plane (you'll need Perception at 7+ or have Baychowski following you after saving him in Damonta)
Temple of Titan (after dealing with nuke in Silo 7): The Flame Deluge Canticle, in a toaster near the western exit to the Wasteland
Prison: Farmer's diary Part 5 (after fixing the robot and entering the compound), in a safe on the back wall

California: 12 Books

Rodia: A Brief History of the Watts Tower, on a shelf in the mayor's office
Santa Fe: The Story of Samson Parts 1-4, can be read in Brother Thomas' inventory (you can recruit him here after installing your first radio booster in Rodia). You can't take the books from him, but reading them is enough. Later, they can also be found in Bastion to loot for yourself
Wasteland: Blood-stained journal, on a corpse in the Southwest-most shrine on the map.
Wasteland: Stoll's Journal, on an enemy in a random encounter north of Angel Oracle labeled "Mannerites on the nearby rooftops"
Hollywood: Welcome to Hollywood!, on the street just as you enter the city
Hollywood: The Ten Commandments of James King, on the ground in the cemetery
Los Feliz: The Griffith Observatory: A History, on a shelf in Laban's Rest
Seal Beach: Your Golden Future, in an ammunition crate behind some mines on the east side outside the compound
New Citadel: The Gospel According to Matthias, on the helicopter pad inside a crate in the Northwest corner

* I don't take credit for this guide. It was originally published on xboxachievments.com by The Pants Party. He deserves all the credit! I just want to help some people who use TA primarily and weren't aware of this awseome guide of his.

** The order of the guide coincides with the order of the abbreviated walkthrough that you can find right here http://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63224...

Hope this helps!
