You need to play Endless mode and try to save up enough lives to last the later waves.
This achievement was more of a test of patience than skill. As long as you can last for a minute without dying at any point later in the game, you can do this achievement. The deaths come easy. The explosions hide your ship and enemies which makes avoiding a collision hard (impossible at times) to see. You have to learn the game to know you have cleared the space beneath the explosions. It only takes a few deaths to knock you out from getting to wave 30. Try your best to work around this. The player ship has a lot of momentum, so do not second-guess your path decision or you will likely die. It is better to shoot something coming at you than to dodge it. Dodging is basically impossible. I do not think you can shoot the blue enemy's bullets, so you have to plan around those. You have to pre-plan more than react. Think of it that way. It's a proactive game, not reactive.
Strategy 1: Circle the field and let many enemies follow you, as there appears to be an on-screen limit to the number of enemies so it limits the enemies in your path that spawn. However, this is long and can test your patience. Plus the blue enemies sometimes pick you off with their shots. I think it would work, but I did it another way:
Strategy 2: Act aggressive and kill enemies quickly to get it over with sooner, sticking on one side of the map unless you have to retreat to the other side. I was able to unlock the achievement in 17 minutes and 45 seconds this way:
You can see that shortly after winning the achievement I die off fairly quick numerous times, because my energy and patience is spent at this point.
