Secrets of the Batcave achievement in Batman: Arkham Knight

For this achievement you must complete the Predator Challenge "Batcave" using only Beat Downs (

then

repeatedly) AND without taking any damage. If your health bar appears on the screen, start over.

The most convenient way I found to do this challenge is using a little trick: when approaching a thug from behind, don't go all silent, run! It'll make him scared. As soon as he bows covering his head, start the beat down. Using this technique, NO ONE will go after you right away, they will only get alerted when they see the body or when the Arkham Knight tells them someone is out. If you approach the thug silently and use the beat down, all the enemies will imeddiately go to your location.
(Note: use this technique only when a thug is alone)

This achievement requires patience, because you will need to let the thugs scatter everytime they find a corpse. Be very careful of who you engage, because there are 3 thugs with camouflage, so you won't be seeing them in Detective Mode.

This may be obvious from the description but it wasn't clear to me when I started. You do NOT have to complete the 3 stars to "complete" the challenge, you just need to take out all the thugs.

The running tip is gold for this. Batman and Nightwing also both have the voice synthesizer which can also be really useful when isolating enemies.

+1 ! If like me you fail your BEATDOWN sometimes bt hitting the ennemies once with X, you don't have to restart. Just tap B and X to FINISH him with a beatdown. Of course you still need to be unharmed ;)

When they group up use smoke as batman to take out a couple at one time and use the voice synthesizer as nightwing works like a charm. I'd also knock one down before going for a beat down to slow down their approach.

I think they may have patched this to up the difficulty? The running trick works on the first few thugs (sometimes as few as one), but after a few times doing this, they stop being surprised and just start shooting. And they also stop listening to the voice synthesizer after about 4 commands. And on top of all that, smoke doesn't recharge, so you only get one shot with that. This still isn't too hard with Batman due to his various gadgets, but with Nightwing lacking anything useful other than his limited-use voice synth, it's a slow process to get it done with both characters.
