  This is attained near the beginning of the level. It is ok to use the log to gain access to Secret #1, as long as you restart the checkpoint afterwards. Upon reaching the dock, the game wants you to pull open a door, and then push the raft into the water to progress, but instead you'll want to jump and use your lasso to navigate above the water and make your way all the way to the water wheel without the raft. The technique can be seen in the following video from 1:34 to 3:21

  The achievement is located in the 5th chapter called "Off the rails".
  
  After you cross the first bridge in this chapter, you will come to the achievement section. Normally you use a log draft here but for the achievement you can not use a log draft. Follow the video and you will see how to solve this section without a log draft.
  

  
  PS: You can get the secret with the log draft, after you reach the secret, hold down on the D-Pad to restart the checkpoint.

  Near the beginning of Chapter 5, you find yourself on a dock. Instead of grabbing the log above you, use the grapple points to swing across the river. Once you touch down in front of the water wheel, your achievement will pop.

  This guide includes all secrets / collectibles in chapter 5. The first collectible requires the use of the log raft, so immediately restart the checkpoint after collecting the first collectible. Then continue on without the log rafts.

  Hi, after my natural Language is German and i bet more Germans are on this Site i will add my solution in german :)

  All the guides above do not need any words to add. The only problem with this achievement could be, that it sometimes glitches. In my case I did not use any rafts and forwarded exactly as shown in the videos, but no achievement popped up.
  
  The solution in this case is to finish the level (and probably collcet all the secrets) and wait until you get back into the main menu. Afterwars hit the guide button on your controller and close the app (the game). Then restart the game and repeat the chapter 5.
  Progess the same way as before and now the achievement should pop as soon as you touch the ground near the water wheel.
