    Actions
    This is another of the beast hunter mastery quests. This one requires you to hunt down the biggest mammoth you've come across yet. Utilizing the traps in the individual hunt areas will completely minimize this hunt and give you ample opportunity to take him down without facing any real danger. At the same time realize that he will continually run away as he loses more and more HP.

    Cpt SinkerSometimes deleting save from console with any Ubisoft game and recover the save unlocks them.

    MaliiciousI just unlocked this today. I killed the Bloodtusk Mammoth in my first playthrough, however the achievement did not unlock. In my original attempt I was in active combat with other beasts and Udam. One of the environmental traps struck the killing blow on the Mammoth, when I saw it was down I quickly ran over and "killed" the mammoth and ending the quest.

    In my second attempt on a brand new save file I was not in active combat when I "killed" the Mammoth, or like...absorbed it's soul after taking it down. I struck the killing blow on the Mammoth with a spear.

    All this to say seems like you have to strike the killing blow, not your beast and not a trap.

    chaoz2eyezI strike the killing blow and cheevo don't popped :( Then skinned Mammoth and finish quest but still no cheevo. It should be marked as bugged.

    One important thing to mention, as with the other 2 hunt missions, is that once you have depleted the bloodtusks health bar, you must interact with the mammoth by holding cn_X. This will show a short cut scene. If you do not do this, the achievement will not pop.
