Route Maniac achievement in Raiden V

After Stage 1, all stages have at least one alternate version. Stage 2 has only two versions, but 3-8 all have four versions. In total, you'll have to discover and complete 23 different levels.

Reaching the alternate stages is the tricky part, as the game doesn't tell you their unlocking conditions. Alternate paths are unlocked by completing stages with lower than normal % of enemies defeated. To view your kill percentage during gameplay, press Left Trigger until the left sidebar displays gameplay stats (page three of the sidebars).

As you play the level, try to avoid killing as many enemies as possible. We don't know the exact percentage milestones needed to get each alternate path, but below sixty percent on Stage 1 works to unlock Stage 2-B.

Once you're dealing with 3-4 possible paths from your current stage, presumably you'll need to come in under specific percentages (perhaps 0-33%, 34-66%, 66-100%) to reach different alternate paths.

If you figure out the specific percentages needed to reach each alternate stage, let me know and I'll update this guide.

I dunno if this helps, but I may have a little more info for those of you stuck. I started playing through again with the intentions of making sure I hit every level in the course of a normal story. After completing 6B in my story, the achievement unlocked. Essentially if it hasn't unlocked, there's more than likely a level you haven't actually played through and beaten. To my knowledge, there's no way to track which ones you've played and beaten, so if you need to grind out Sols/Fairies/Cargo Ships, playing through the story directly may be a good idea.

If you need to go to a certain path, from what I gather, under 90% drops you down a path, 90.1-94.9% keeps you on the same path, and over 95% moves you up a path.

I'm another who has all stages unlocked but no achievement.

Maybe it's because I've unlocked them but not beaten them then, as I had thought it was okay to quit once it was unlocked.

I can confirm that the achievement will not pop unless you've played through all the stages. This means visually unlocking all the levels in the stage select screen is not enough. You have to play and complete each level as well. This can make it difficult to judge what you've got remaining from the information the game displays.

Yay. Finally captured this one. Route 6A was my issue.

Seem like my systematic crossing off of the levels wasn't as rigorous as I initially thought. Few nights ago started completing the levels horizontally (i.e. complete Route 3S unit the next level starts, quite, selected and complete Route 3A - repeat for all four routes per level) and eventually popped by the time I completed 6A :)

I have all the stages unlocked except for 7-C. I can't get the game to get me to 7-C. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I'm trying to unlock it by going to 'Stage Select' and starting on 'Mission 2' which is the bonus stage right before you get to any of the Stage 7's. Am I starting at the wrong spot? What should I be doing? Any suggestions?

I unlocked 7-C by picking 6-B in stage select and killing a little above 40% of the enemies. I was stuck on this one too, trying various combinations of stage 6 and kill percentages. Finally got it tonight.

I just need to get 3-B now and I'll have this achievement unlocked.
