This will come naturally when playing through the game. Either shot type can be used. I found it unlocks rather fast when playing on the easiest difficulty (Freshman) and use 'New Jersey Knights' as your main team, and use 'Monmouth Hawks' as your opponent, as this team has the lowest ranking (48-48-48). New Jersey can be found in Professional and the Hawks in East Metropolitan.
