[Guide]This achievement requires you to extract any item at every single one of the 8 extraction zones that are located in the dark zone. These are the yellow zones that are spread around the dark zone.
First find yourself any item. It can be anything, kill an enemy or loot a chest.
When you are inside an extraction area you can press and hold X to fire up a flare that will signal a helicopter to come and retrieve the items you have looted in the dark zone. This takes 1.5 minutes
The reason why this achievement is not a simple walk in the park is because these extraction areas are nearly always guarded. Most of the the time you are confronted with either one of these 2 scenario's
1) The extraction area is guarded when you arrive there but once you have cleared out the enemies it should be safe for you to fire up the flare and wait for 1.5 minutes until the helicopter arrives.
2) The extraction area is empty and you can fire up the flare but enemies may spawn at any point during the 1.5 minutes at which point you may not be able to safely attach your items to the helicopter cord before he departs.
A couple of notes regarding this achievement:
-Mind your gearscore. Your gearscore determines what Dark zone bracket you are matched into. If your gearscore goes over 201 you will be matched in a significantly tougher dark zones. You can lower your gearscore by equipping gear that is below 201.
-Try to travel in a group. The further north you get, the higher level the enemies will be and at least 3 extraction areas are located in a section of the map where enemies are 2 (or 5 if you are really high geared) levels above your own.
-The extraction helicopter can only carry 4 packages. If others beat you to it then you will have to fire up the flare again.
-Defend your extraction. After patch 1.2 other agents have the option to cut the extraction cable. When they start cutting they immediately turn rogue. It takes 7 seconds for them to fully cut the cable but their timer increases when you shoot them while they are cutting.
-You can only extract 30 items in total until you have to exit the dark zone and empty the 'extracted' tab in your stash.
-You can tell if you have succesfully attached your loot if you are no longer carrying your little yellow virus bag, after a few seconds it should say 'extraction succesful'
-You do not have to be the one that fires up the flare.
-The game doesnt keep track of what zones you have extracted at so you should do this yourself.
-And most important when it comes to other agents: TRUST NOBODY!
[Dark zone levelling]The dark zone is basically a server where you are matched with players of your own level. If you are level 18 you will be matched in the dark zone of players between level 15-19 for example. AI enemies will correspond with those levels. The highest possible player level (level 19 in this example) is the level of the AI enemies you face unless you travel further north. That's where enemies will appear that are above your own maximum level. Once you hit level 30 AI enemies will be level 31 or 32 in the northern zones.
Since not every player of level 30 is of equal strength the game will match you a little differently once you turn 30. AI enemies will still be level 30-32 as described above but the other agents/players you will find in your dark zone server are matched with you based on your gearscore level. That is basically the average quality of all your gear.
If you want to travel with your friends in the same dark zone they need to be eligible for the same dark zone bracket that you are.

Numbers 1,2,3 are in the regular level area
Numbers 4 and 5 are in the +1 level area
Numbers 6,7 and 8 are in the +2 level area.
