The challenges for this are pretty simple, and you do them one after the other.
One important thing to note that is every time a piece drops a line by regular play as it's coming down the game field (NOT when you're forcing it to do a full drop with cn_up), the 'piece meter' at the top left of the screen goes down, so you'll want to drop pieces as quickly as you can to keep this meter relatively full. You can also regenerate this meter partially by removing lines of minos (the square pieces).

Also, unlike Endless mode, the 5-minos + shape doesn't seem to make an appearance in this mode, so it makes the Challenge mode much easier! The 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, and the 3-minos L shapes do make an appearance though, which helps.

    The challenges are as follows:
Challenge #1: Clear a total of 2 Lines.
Challenge #2: Clear a total of 5 Lines.
Challenge #3: Clear a total of 5 Lines. The speed increases on this challenge.
Challenge #4: Clear a total of 8 Lines.
Challenge #5: Clear a total of 8 Lines. The speed increases on this challenge.
Challenge #6: Clear a total of 10 Lines.
Challenge #7: Clear a total of 10 Lines. The speed increases on this challenge.
Challenge #8: Clear a total of 12 Lines. Upon completing this challenge, you'll unlock:
Tetraminos (Xbox One)Challenge BeginnerThe Challenge Beginner achievement in Tetraminos (Xbox One) worth 62 pointsComplete challenge #8 in Challenge mode
Challenge #9: Clear a total of 12 Lines. The speed increases on this challenge.
Challenge #10: Clear a total of 15 Lines.
Challenges #11-14: Clear a total of 15 Lines. The speed increases on each challenge.
For players that are NOT Tetris experts, from this point on, I recommend NOT building up your play area for Tetris and triple-line clears, simply because the speed at which the pieces drop will make it difficult to get the pieces to the higher places on the left and right side of the play area. Go for single and double clears at the bottom of the play area instead.
Challenge #15: Clear a total of 15 Lines. The speed increases to its maximum speed on this challenge. Upon completing this challenge, you'll unlock:
Tetraminos (Xbox One)Challenge AmateurThe Challenge Amateur achievement in Tetraminos (Xbox One) worth 79 pointsComplete challenge #15 in Challenge mode
Challenges #16-19: Clear a total of 15 Lines.
Challenge #20: Clear a total of 15 Lines. Upon completing this challenge, you'll unlock:
Tetraminos (Xbox One)Challenge MasterThe Challenge Master achievement in Tetraminos (Xbox One) worth 194 pointsComplete challenge #20 in Challenge mode
Challenge #21 (onwards): Clear a total of 15 Lines.

TL;DR: Play challenge mode, get 162 lines without tetrominos overflowing the play area.

creamyredpotatoAs a fan of Tetris, this game is terrible. The pieces don't move smoothly, nor consistently. The addition of the plus shaped block is terrible too.
