How to unlock the Airborne achievement

There are a variety of ways to get this achievement, but the earliest opportunity will be while making your way up the Ginso Tree. You will come to a room with 6 teleports and two keystones that are necessary for progression on the right of the screen. Now all you'll need to do is go between the two connecting portals on the right of the screen and make sure to double jump each time. After double jumping 5 times, safely land on the middle platform in order to unlock the achievement.

Later on in the game, this achievement can also be attained by using bash on airborne enemies or projectiles, and double jumping after every bash. A reliable method is to use the 4 owls near the top of Sorrow's Pass. You can bash and double jump between them without much issue, and there are also hanging lights that you can use if necessary. There are also a lot of projectiles near the entrance of Mount Horu. Again, the achievement should unlock upon landing safely.

JayD101I couldn't get this to unlock using bash. Only worked when I did it in the ginso tree with your first method.

Mr SpinelesSGlitched for me and wouldn't pop, just like in the original version (game even took a capture at the time, but no achievement)

I think it's probably because of one of the abilities I have unlocked (maybe air dash)

xPut Name HerexJust had an issue with this on the non-DE version. Copying my comment from there:

If the achievement is not unlocking for you, and you haven't progressed past it, the game has back-up saves. Load the most recent one before you first attempted, and try again. Had to do that myself after I got the auto-clip for doing it in the Ginso Tree teleporter room, but no achievement unlock to go with it.
