Most people here will prefer to get this, and the other online achievements, done with another person over Xbox Live. I, however, chose to go with a faster, though much more difficult route. This method may not be for everybody, but it is 4-10x more efficient than the 1v1 method.

In order for this method to work, you will need a PC GFWL copy of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition: Colonies Edition {The original LP does not play on the same servers as Colonies}, a DirectX9 compatible PC, a very good high speed internet connection and multiple Silver/Free Xbox Live gamertags{Playing on GFWL does not require a paid subscription}. (For the specifics of what machine I'm using and useful links see the bottom of this solution).

What you will be doing is running multiple instances of Lost Planet on your PC and a single instance on your Xbox with your achievement Gamertag. Multiple instances of the same GFWL cannot be run at the same time, however we can get around that limitation by creating multiple users within Windows (I am using Windows 7 and cannot guarantee this works on other editions of Windows, but the idea is the same). I created user accounts with limited permissions, and fast user switching toggled on, called "Games1", "Games2", "Games3", etc. (Note: You only need to install a single copy of Lost Planet on your hard drive)

Log in to each of these Users one at a time and boot up Lost Planet for the first time. Once booted up you will need to login to your GFWL account (Register now if you do not have additional accounts. You will need 1 account for each simultaneous instance running of the game). After logging in to GFWL you will need to enter the CD Key which came with the game. (Note: You can register the same Key on up to 15 different machines, per Microsoft, without it become deactivated, and on the same machine as many times as you like). Once registered I'd advice going into the video settings and turning everything down as low as it will go and full screen off(Note: Alt-Tabbing out of the window can disconnect from a game; run in windowed mode and use the windows button to reach the start menu), then go to GFWL Games->Ranked->Custom/Search (the first time you will need to select a character) and leave the screen there. Hit the windows button and switch to the next user account to repeat all this again.

Once the previous steps have all been completed turn your xbox on and create the following Ranked Match Type:
Post Grab on Lost Arena with Rifles and Switch Sides turned off. Procede to switch to every other user account on your PC and join that match until you have as many as you want in the game. 3-5 is usually as many as you'll want for Lost Planet because each connection takes about 30 seconds (or more depending on your computer) to establish and in that time randoms will join. I can run 9 instances on my PC (and possibly more) without it crashing but by the time I get them all joined to the game the room is full(Note: Games do not automatically start when full so you can just wait it out til they leave, but with 9 alts it can take 15-45 minutes for the room to finally clear, depending on other peoples moods).

Thanks to DimTheSky for the following tip to keep randoms out: "If you press a and it will say do you want to start? when that screen is up no one can join so it locks the lobby. Then u say no I don't want to start and bring in the next account press a to lock it down again etc. "

Once in game, follow the other guides and just run to the other side of the arena and take out the guys on the other team, who will continue to spawn in the same place so just set up camp. Pick up ammo from their bodies when you need it, etc. etc. You can sit at your pc and hit the fire button when spawned so that the enemy isn't shielded for 7 seconds, but that isn't really necessary when killing five enemies because you they spawn in intervals.

Now on to the math:
The standard 1v1 method can net you 6 kills/minute split between two people which works out to 3 kills/minute.

Assuming death to unshielded respawn is 15 seconds (its really closer to 10 seconds but to err on the side of understatement I will call it 15)
Each additional enemy contributes 4 kills per minute.
So with 3 enemies (5 total players) you will average 12 kills/min, 720 kills/hr. (I just played a 10 player game and only got ~650 kills, but I was distracted writing this much of the time; do not worry if the endgame screen only shows 255 kills I believe that is the max it will show, but your kills will show up in the Battle Stats menu)
I highly recommend going with 2-4 alt accounts playing at most as it is easiest to get started. Always have an even number of alts, odd number of total players, because the game will always give the numbers advantage to the non-host team.
