You will need to play for 100 in-game days. As far as I know, sleeping does not speed up the progress. You can track your progress, if you go to the ingame achievements tab. I would advise you to let your phone idle for a while.

One glitch which I'd like to add is that I unlocked this achievement while I was sleeping and my phone was in stand-by mode. (I could only change it to 30 minutes, before my phone would go into standby-by mode). This means that you could easily let your phone progress towards this achievement, while you are sleeping. I let it run for 2-3 nights, and each time it turned off after half an hour, but apparently I still made decent progress.

    EDIT:
BulletLukey has made an awesome world for this. You can join our realm (as long as it still runs) or download the world yourself.

    *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

In this world, it takes roughly 3,5 hours to get the achievement!

As the only achievement that prevents someone from finishing this game within an hour, this achievement requires you to play the game for approximately 33 hours. Obviously, with the way that Android is set up, and if you aren't using an emulator, you would normally have to work to keep your screen on for being inactive, as mentioned in the other solution. However, if you use an app called Caffeine you can keep your phone from going inactive:

HanxI tried this by using Caffeine and it caused my game to crash. This was on a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

There is a hidden menu intended for developers on Android Phones. If you're okay with enabling this menu go to Settings > About Phone and scroll down until you see Build Number. Start tapping Build Number over and over until it starts telling you how many Taps until you become a developers.

Once you become a developer back out of About Phone and you should notice a new menu called Developer Options. Inside the menu turn the switch to On if it isn't on already and enable Stay Awake. This will make it so your phone will never sleep while charging.

This achievement will take 33 hours so if possible I would use a secondary device like a tablet or old cell phone rather than the phone you use everyday. However, if you must use your cell phone I would advise taking breaks every once in awhile as to not wear out your phone. I know my phone can get kinda hot when playing the game for long periods of time.

New ParalyzerYes it would but some people don't know what bluestacks is or want to mess around with an emulator on their computer. I would agree that if you can get an Android emulator running on your PC that it would be your best bet for the achievement.

GrimaceTheGreyYou can use the same developer options on your android tablet as your phone, then just turn the brightness down, and let it run over night for a couple nights.

SpeciallyTDerpThanks for the suggestion of using BlueStacks, just unlocked the achievement using it!
Saved my phone from excess stress lol

One note to others taking this route:
I had an issue where the Play Store said I had to pay for the game again. I fixed this by going into "Account" settings on the left sidebar, go to the "Purchase history" tab, select the game and then "VIEW". This will take you to the same store page but it will register your purchase.
