This guide explains how collectibles work in the Underground DLC.

In the Underground you can start Operations. The Mission design for each operation is different. The Collectibles are found inside these random generated missions so they don't have a fixed location. For example you can not say Audio Log #02 is found in mission abc behind container xyz.

Every Phase Operation has 1 collectible and this collectible is located in non combat areas and close to the restock crate. These restock crates are mostly in the middle of a Phase Operation, sometimes in the beginning of a operation, so if you find a restock crate look for a collectible nearby. (open the map and look for the collectibles symbol)

    1 Phase Operation = 1 Collectible
    2 Phase Operation = 2 Collectibles
    3 Phase Operation = 3 Collectibles

If you are close to the end of the 80 collectibles and needs only 5 Photos for your achievement as example it can be happen that are no collectibles in the operation!

Currently the tracker is heavenly bugged, just collect so long you get your achievement.

Keep in mind that this is what I found out after the first day of the Underground DLC Release.

PS: I will collect all collectibles with a different GT. I only post here with this GT the solution (Achievement not yet won display)

Leo AscendentDown to my last 10 pictures. Is it normal to go 7+ missions without seeing one? Once I got my last audio log nothing seems to be popping up anymore.

Edit: it's now Feb 2020 and I stopped playing for awhile. Still playing and have only 2 left. I've noticed that I tend to find them more (but still rarely) often if I die and keep playing through the mission. Could be a coincidence, but hey, I'll take it. Also found a few while joining someone else's game. Also found them more often when I focused leveling, try Hard (WT4) 2-3 phase missions unless you can solo Challenge.

Long shots, and likely all coincidences, but I'll take anything over nothing.

The PickupTruckI had one diary left to get, I did a solo 1 phase operation after a friend told me this had been glitching for people who had been picking up the last one in a party. Found it, picked it up and it popped straight away.

Zasta's guide above is very comprehensive when obtaining this achievement, I would just add that this achievement can be a little buggy. I collected all the intel (collected the final one as part of a group) and the achievement did not pop.

The solution to this issue is to collect 1 of each type of intel (photo and audio diary) on a secondary character solo. This will then cause the achievement to pop.
