Now this isn't an official "How To Guide To Not Get Your Butt Kicked In Every Match". Warzone Firefight is not easy and it may very well frustrate you before you get your five wins. I have roughly a 66% lost ratio in fact. Despite the difficulties of making an official guide to work with all the random factors in Firefight, there are some general tips that worked for me.

NOTE: I played Firefight entirely solo. Even if you just have two or three friends to play with, your experience may very well be drastically different as opposed to mine. Coordination will help a great deal.

First, note that your worst enemy is in fact the respawn timer itself. At a personal maximum of 30 seconds on Wave 5 for me, dying in the later waves has a heavy penalty for your whole team. Due to just how easy it is to die, it's quite possible that a large chunk of your team could be out of the fight. I wish I could say to just not die but it will happen. Keep your distance when you can and remember, this isn't campaign. You can easily be overwhelmed by even just a couple grunts in all honesty.

Secondly, precision weapons are your friend. A BR will most likely be your primary weapon once you get the REQ requirement. Or even primary weapons. In Warzone you cannot have two of the same weapon equipped, but you can have two variants of the same weapon equipped. Two BR's, two DMR's... If say you have to deal with Pheatons or Ghosts and you are lacking the REQ to get the heavy firepower, or you are forced to snipe enemies from a distance, don't be afraid to double up on your weapons.

Thirdly, whenever you approach the REQ stations throughout the map you will refill all ammo for your basic load out weapons. Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, DMR, Magnum, and Submachine Gun. Since you can't afford to suicide for ammo go fill up when you can.

Fourthly, be aware of the REQ system. You don't need to memorize the requirements to use everything, but keep in mind to build up your REQ by killing whoever you can so you can access better gear. Even having one person who has enough REQ points to say, get enough firepower to work against a Grunt Mech can potentially win the game. Swap out your weapons when you can, get a vehicle to increase DPS, or quickly buy a power weapon to deal with a boss.

Fifthly, NEVER get a vehicle while you are dead. In all of my experience, on top of the already long respawn wait, getting a vehicle while dead will create a whole new respawn timer. Got 14 seconds left and you ordered a Scorpion? Now you can wait another 20 seconds ALONG WITH another potential five seconds due to a delay between the countdown reaching zero and respawning.
NOTE: There is a vehicle cap. It appears to be only for active vehicles. I got out of my Banshee for 25 seconds to kill an enemy in the building. It was gone by the time I got back.

Sixthly, be prepared to get a vehicle on Waves 4 and 5. These are typically boss waves and being quick on ordering a vehicle can save you precious seconds. Some bosses, especially pairs of mythics or Legendaries with a Mythic at the end, can take a long time. I've had where it took us 4:32 minutes to kill the Legendaries only to get a Mythic to appear, completely screwing us.

Seventhly, some games will honestly screw you over. Some scenarios will occur where victory seems impossible. Don't be disheartened. Firefight isn't gentle whatsoever. Not having the REQ requirement to combat a certain group of enemies is all to common. Fight on and hope your next game is kinder.

That is all I got. I hope these little tidbits help you as much as they helped me. I highly advise teaming up with friends but this is entirely possible through solo play. Best of luck and try not to rage too hard. My voice is still a bit hoarse personally myself.

hunterIVAnd it is especially shitty you get the full timer even if your teammate kills you.

LavindatharAnd don't forget the times the game just makes it plain impossible to win

Lazyslothboy001To be honest, I'd say you should forgo using req power weapon cards at all. You just can't carry enough ammo to do any meaningful damage to bosses. You'd be better off springing for a vehicle. Personally I opt for a ghost (or warthog for aerial rounds) for rounds 2-3. By 4 I switch to a tank and just keep that for the rest of the match.

This absolutely is no foolproof method. Sometimes you will have a defend wave that spawns on the other side of the map and is already gone by the time you rally to get there. Sometimes Warden Eternals will spawn inside bases where its a pain the ass to hit them with anything meaningful. Sometimes you will do everything right, but your teammates insist on charging with ARs. Its just luck in the end (I'm at 7 wins out of 22 games).

BacavoitMan... I play Firefight for over 8 hours straight and didn't win a single one. I only reached the Warden once.

When my team was more "capable" we had the most difficult ones. It really is a pain in the butt plus the low ammo and respawn times makes it a lot harder. I don't think I'll be getting this one.

agufishIf you do this solo, pray your team is good.

MikeProcuratorThe worst part is, even a great team can get messed up really easy... Is it just me or are the knights super unfair?

DzeDawgWasp's or Scorpion's are the best selection for solo if you happen to have the final boss' on Round 5 outside in the open.
If these bosses are inside a structure and you are doing this achievement solo, you might as well just say goodbye to the 20 mins of life you wasted.
Try to focus on downing a couple Banshee's protecting the final boss first as they will destroy your vehicle fast.

I won a game last night but my tracker stayed at 40%. Anyone else have this issue?

BigLanceLSAug 2021 and I played a bunch of Warzone on the Warzone Firefight playlist. Entered with 7 other randoms and we cleared wave 5 in all but one game. Was not all that hard TBH and I got the 3 Warzone achievements in one sitting. Sounds like it used to be much harder, but no complain from me that they made it easier :)

Gilbert PrimeIf you've been saving your vehicle reqs because they get blown up too quickly in PvP, then use them here. You can do almost every map using a Ghost to move fast and shoot without overheating.
