At the time I'm writing this, there's no other guide/solution for this achievement and I couldn't find what I'm about to write on any other good source from the internet. Fortunately I'm a curious guy, so I ended up finding this out by myself.

Both the Thaumaturge and the Arcane Mechanic classes were DLC for the first The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing and they're currently available to be bought for about 2.5 dollars each (where I live). So if you got them for the first game, then you could simply import them now for the second. The thing is, I had already paid for the second game and didn't want to spend any extra cash just for the sake of achievements. And like I said, there was no solution here and even the xboxachievements (which is also a great source of info most of the time) respective guide is currently pointing towards buying the DLC for the first game. So, for a moment I thought that both the Adeptus Mechanicus and The Wonderful Wizardov achievements were unobtainable otherwise. I reasoned that paying 2.5 is not a lot of money, but then again, decided that it's just achievements, so I made my peace with it and not to spend another cent on this game.

Then I decided to go take a better look at the character creation on the main screen, just to make sure that those 2 classes weren't there. In my case:
- selecting "change character" in the middle of the screen >>>
- then pressing "Y" (create) >>>
- then pushing right and selecting "Veteran" and then pressing "A" to continue.
If you do that, you can see a lot of new classes: Blade, Gunslinger, Spellkeeper, Adeptus, Bombardier and Contraptionist. None of them the ones I was looking for.

But then I selected "Custom" and there they were! All the 3 achievements classes, kind of hidden away if you don't know where to look and how to get there! It may feel kinda obvious for some of you who read this now, but if it really was then I guess this info would be written somewhere else and easier to find through a google search or even in the menus.

But I still had to test it. I wondered if by leveling this char 30 more times the achievement would unlock or if theseThaumaturge and Arcane Mechanic classes would not qualify for the achievements for not being the paid, DLC ones. So I spent my day playing through the game again (had already completed it with the Hunter) and in the end it paid off. Reached level 60 just before going into the final battle and the achievement unlocked.

So, the good news is that I can say that no DLC is needed for these achievements and doing the above mentioned will qualify you to unlock them.

I haven't played with the Thaumaturge yet but I can say that for those who are unfamiliar with the Arcane Mechanic as I was, you'd better follow a character building guide, otherwise you'll feel underpowered compared to the Hunter which isn't a hard class to figure out and master.

I used this guide from somebody from Steam:

For the sake of keeping this solution good even if the link above is eventually broken, I'll tell you the major points of it.

- Don't spend points on turrets, they're no good. The strength of the Arcane Mechanic will in fact lie in his minions but the ones you'll work with will come from the POCKET MECHANOID skill boosted by the IMPROVED REMOTE CONTROLLER skill (whenever you qualify to unlock this last one). Also, you can spend ONE point on the GHOSTLY MIRAGE trick to have extra Katarinas and build the real one on her companion tab to be a sort of tank. Unlocking the ability that makes her explode upon death is quite helpful too. You'll also unlock a Chimera during the story and you can choose to have it following you (assign/link the SUMMON CHIMERA on the "tricks" tab under "skills") instead of virtually going on missions for you.

- On your character, you want to spend all the ability points you get on the DEXTERY ability since he is a ranged char. Also, you want weapons that increase "DPH" (damage per hit, I guess) and DEXTERY stats. To be honest, even though I kept my gear with those 2 stats as high as I could, you'll only be able to unlock the SUPERCHARGED BLAST skill when you're level 50 and only then you will start shooting often instead of letting the minions do all the work, because only by then you'll be stronger and will be faster killing enemies than waiting for them to do it for you. But once you are there (lvl 50 and above) you'll notice a great change in your chars power.

- But before and even after that you'll still die. A lot. So don't pick this class for the Hardcore/no deaths run, unless you're extra careful. You can evade with the GHASTLY SHAPE trick (only spend 1 point at it, btw) but still.

- Talking about tricks, there are not many of them useful enough to purchase. Besides the 3 already mentioned I purchased ELYCTRIC SPHERE because it has the benefit of accelerating the cooldowns and if you use GHASTLY SHAPE during it, it's a good way to go around and nullify the blocking movement penalty.

- Aura wise, I tried to buy the ones the guide suggested, STORM ADEPT, MECHANOID BUILDING and CLOCKWORK EXPERTISE, but these last 2 are available only later on.

- Finally, back to the major arcane mechanic skills, I maxed the GRENADE LOB (just the main thing, not the little circles above it nor the little squares to the side) and honestly it sucks, but so do other fire powers from this class. You could try to use and max LIQUID FIRE instead, but as I said, until you get to level 50 and unlock the real shot (SUPERCHARGED BLAST) you won't be shooting much cuz you should let your minions should do the killing for you. The other skills that the guide maxes are the passive ones: DEFENSIVE SYNERGY, OFFENSIVE SYNERGY and PROTECTIVE SYNERGY.

I guess one could deviate a little from the above tips and still live. But trust me, following these pieces of advice gave me a much better time with this class than going blindly and trying to do my own thing like it always worked with the Hunter class. In any case, the Arcane wasn't a favorite of mine and I've tried my best to give you the best head start. Enduring the rest it's up to you, like those who have come before have done.

If you think that this solution was helpful you can show appreciation by leaving a thumbs up to let me know. That usually makes me want to share more. Good night, and Good Luck!
