(A big thank you to SupaSonic1972 for helping me put together this method)

You'll need a partner for this method. The person going for the achievement will be the player, and the helping partner will be the dungeon master. It is highly recommended that the player going for the achievement use a Wizard character with the Cloud of Daggers ability (found under the Wizard's Summoner tree).

First things first, the dungeon master will have to set their game to "Unlimited DM Threat". You can only do this from the main menu, as once you go into the DM sub-menus, you cannot set this option. To set, from Main Menu, go to options and cn_RB over to the DM tab. On this screen, make sure "Unlimited DM Threat" is checked. (Note: once you do this, it will be set for subsequent plays, aka no need to repeat if you go do more than one session).

Once "Unlimited DM Threat" is set, have your partner select Dungeon Master from the main screen. Set difficulty to "Easy". Now, have you partner invite you into the game. Launch.

You'll now have to set up a dungeon. To do this, the DM will need to click on the wooden board that near where you and your partner load into the game. Any settings here will do, except make sure to make one of the enemy types "Spiders". Now have the DM click cn_X to instantiate the dungeon, which makes it available for you to enter (its the big cave on the opposite side of the board. Go ahead and enter.)

Once the dungeon is loaded, have the DM clear out two adjacent rooms for you to work in.
Starting room and next room work fine, though I'd recommend using the exit room and previous room, so you can leave the dungeon when your done the achievement and/or the game lags out too much. Doing this will help you and your partner work on:

Sword Coast LegendsMaster of DungeonsThe Master of Dungeons achievement in Sword Coast Legends worth 325 pointsComplete twenty-five Dungeon Crawls as a Dungeon Master.

Sword Coast LegendsVeteran DungeoneerThe Veteran Dungeoneer achievement in Sword Coast Legends worth 283 pointsComplete fifty Dungeon Crawls.

Now that you're in the dungeon and you have two cleared rooms, the DM will drop 50-100 spider eggs in a tiny cluster in the adjacent room (in the DM menu, select Spiders -> Spider Egg). The player then fires off a Cloud of Daggers onto the pile, killing the eggs. Rinse, repeat.

Why Cloud of Daggers? This ability has no save, which means the eggs cannot prevent the damage. Further, because of the sheer number of enemies in the dungeon, there will quickly be lag in the dungeon, causing the AoE to miss some of its targets due to lag. Since Cloud of Daggers is a persistent AoE ability, it will kill the eggs that survive from the lag spike.

(Eggs surviving an AoE attack will hatch, causing a swarm of Spiderlings to kill your character. You don't want this, hence, you want a persistent AoE ability with no savings throw. We tried all sorts of AoE abiliities during our method trials, and Cloud of Daggers was consistently the best ability)

Eventually (usually after ~500 eggs), the dungeon will get so laggy that you won't be able to cast spells, or the ones you do cast won't do any damage because the hit isn't being registered due to the lag spike. When this happens, exit the dungeon, re-set it up, and repeat the process listed above.

All in all, it should take a bit over an hour to get to 5000 kill using this process outlined above.

Final note for the DM: the green number besides all the options in the DM's menu is the Threat cost for performing that action. In the case above, each Spider Egg you summon would cost 5 Threat. If you didn't set Unlimited DM Threat from the Main menu, you'd quickly run out of DM Threat and wouldn't be able to repeatedly summon the same monster over and over. That's why the first step is so important.
