Got the the achievement at 100BC using this method. And remember to save a lot, just in case you make a mistake or you think you could of done something better.

    1. Game Type: Scenario > It's all about the money
    2. Difficulty: King (though you can go higher)
    3. Civilization: Arabs
    4. Victory

Notice we didn't do a standard game type. This scenario starts you out with 1000 gold, MORE than enough to rush all the units you'll need. We also used the Arabs for the +1 attack given by fundamentalism. As a bonus, you can set the difficulty up to Deity to snag another achievement if you haven't done so already. Also you can get the "Power never takes a step back" (win with only one city) achievement in this game.

Again, I won't bore you with the details, so I'll be brief here. Don't bother with many warriors, just 1 or 2 to scout around before you get horsemen. Wait to attack barbarian huts with horsemen to ensure the upgrades go to your better unit.

RUSH EVERY UNIT WITH YOUR AMPLE GOLD SUPPLY. Build archers to defend your city and send out horsemen to capture barb huts. Send scouting parties to find your opponents, then mount an attack on the CLOSEST capital using 3-4 horsemen armies.

BUILD ROADS. Build a road to your newly conquered capital and use it as the launch point for your next attack. Rinse and repeat.

CATAPULTS. Catapults will probably be needed for the last 2 cities as their defense will be greater- especially if they happen to be the English or the Greeks.

English and Greeks can slow you down, but they aren't impossible. My last capital was London and they were dug in quite well. I sent a full attack force of spies (5 units), horsemen (6 armies) and catapults (2 armies) and they laid down and died without much fuss.

    Hope this helps..

    WildGunbladeDoesn't work without ridiculous RNG.

Horseman armies are too weak to conquer Archer armies, and there's not enough time to build 3-4 Horseman armies before every other capital on Deity has Archers and walls which stop Horseman armies, and Legions which stop Catapults by attacking as soon as you get close.

pbnj93It's easier with the Aztecs imo.

This one worked wonders for me after a couple of tries.

Scenario: It's All about the money
    Race(or whatever): Mongols

Why?: Money so you can spam Armies and then just horses as soon as you get them.

The mongols so you when you fight the barbs you get a city instead of a paltry 40 coins (OMG so amazing right?)

Anyways what I did is saved first turn and scouted till I found them all. After that I restarted taking barbarian villages to make cities to produce units faster AND make roads to move units more quickly

With this combination I got it at about 300 b.c and The only ones that gave me trouble were the Bloody French (It's to bad I love Daft Punk XD)

I really hope this helps oh and you might need to try a couple times until all the computer A.I. are on the same "continent"

EDIT: Also Don't be afraid to just rush all of your horse armies at once on the last capital (they usually have a kick ass archer army) Just save before you bum rush and once you kill that army they'll just have a bunch of "single" units and it'll be cake from there to kill it. It took me like 13 or so horse armies to kill the Archer army but after that it was easy.

WildGunblade"I've tried this 3 times now and I just don't understand what I'm supposed to do when a city has archers defending with an attack power of like 25. It burns up all my units fighting them and then I just fail. I don't understand why everyone else is having such an easy time..."

You're not alone Octobot. I'm encountering the same issues. I have no idea how anyone got this easily. My Horseman armies all get wrecked by archers at the first capital I attack. I can't even take one capital.

Octobot SuperIt's been a while since I got this achievement but I think I just kept trying over and over again until I got lucky. And there were times where I got really far into a match and had to quit out. Make no mistake, it is very very frustrating and RNG heavy but it is doable if you just keep trying until you get a good iteration. It's stupid but can be done with enough attempts

sharpshot3rxthis worked perfectly for me. I saved a lot as I had to make changes, but I won it at 800 AD

There used to be a solution posted for this method, but for some reason it was deleted. I figured I’d post it up myself as I think it’s the easiest way to get this achievement.

First you will need to delete your cache, which will remove the updates. Yes, you’ll have to update all your games again when you play them next, but that’s the price you pay for an easy achievement. Press the xbox guide button, go to the settings tab on the far right, and then to system settings. Then go down to memory and then go down to the memory device you use (presumably your hard drive), but don't select it. Instead, press Y for device options and select clear system cache.

Deleting the update will make it so that whenever you join a settler unit into an existing city, it will add exactly one unit of population. This will be a larger increase than usual, which is only a portion of a population unit.

So here’s how to do it: choose the It’s the Money That Matters scenario, king difficulty, Roman civilization. Having the Romans is a must because they start with the Republic government which allows settler units to be built per one unit of population. Other governments will require 2 units of population per settler units.

You will need to start in a large, open (preferably grassy) location. The key will be to surround your main city with 3 smaller cities. The purpose of the smaller cities will be to build settler units whenever their population increases to 2. You’ll need roads going from your main city to each of your smaller cities, and send the settlers from the smaller cities to the main central city, and add them with Y. With each one, the population of the main city will increase by 1. By the birth of Christ (year 0), your city should be level 25 or higher. At this point, you will need to optimize your city for gold, which you will be producing via the market, bank, and trade fair you will have been building in the meantime. At this point you will be probably be producing over 1000 gold per turn. You’ll spend about 15 turns making money (at this point, there will be 50 years passing per turn) until you get 20k, at which time you’ll build the world bank and the achievement will be yours.

I’ve done this for myself and 2 friends and each time I’ve gotten the victory at around 600AD. When your city becomes uber, you’ll get a nice torrent of great people which will help you out in various ways. If you’re lucky you can double your gold production and you could conceivably build the world bank before the birth of Christ (imagine that). If other civilizations are attacking you, which never happened to me, it may be smart to just restart. The match shouldn't take much more than 30 minutes.

Good luck and happy achievement hunting! Any questions, leave a comment and I’ll try to answer. If you leave a negative vote please comment on how I can make the solution better. Thanks!

Edit: If you want to have the time stamp for the achievement, save the game right before you win, then install the update again, load it up and get the achievement. Credit to British GM for confirming this.

Siphon FiltherIt took me a couple of tries to get this right but worked perfectly. Thank you very much for this.smile Just 2 small additions. 1. once you delete the cache DO NOT RECONNECT to live otherwise you are prompted again to download the update and this makes things a bit more difficult. 2. as soon as you start building the world bank remember to focus the workers on production so it will speed up the world bank building. I know it's kind of obvious but I lost on my second attempts because of this silly mistake.

KillrNutEIGHT YEARS LATER....... lol this still works. The domination methods were not working out for me, so I'm so happy this was an option. Got it at 900AD with a level 31 city. Once at 20,000 gold the world bank was built in one turn. The germans even took a couple cities from me towards the end and I still managed to get it hehe.

    Thank you so much.
