Ok, this is one of the toughest, if not the toughest, achievement in the game, but once you max out your characters and have a ton of good boosts, really isn't bad. Well, except for Breakout, that one just sucks, but more on that in a minute. First off a few notes:

- Sim missions from the DLC for the original game don't count, so that means that Overload, Insidious Alliance, Escort Duty, and Balance do not count. Basic Training does count. Edit: BonnieTheBigVig reports in the comments that this is in fact not the case, and that the new DLC missions count towards this achievement as well.
- It's rumoured that all 12 gold medals must be on the same playthrough, you can't do 5 on your Super Heroic playthrough, then the other 7 on Legendary. Do them all at once
- Related: do this on or after your Legendary playthrough, there are many boosts that are key to this that you get on Legendary
- I don't know about this version, but doing this in online co-op was glitchy on the Xbox 360 version of the game. Honestly once you're powerful enough most of them are actually easier solo than in co-op.
- With that in mind, save this one for when you're done everything else and all your characters are max level (60).

Now, where do you get the sim mission discs, many just are unlocked by default, the rest you can find in Stark Tower on Day 1 & 2 of your first playthrough:

- Basic Training - Stark Tower (Day 1)
- Command - Stark Tower (Day 1)
- Breakout - Stark Tower (Day 2)
- Countdown - Stark Tower (Day 2)

For many of the sim missions the key is to pick the right team and right set of team boosts. These are the boosts I'll recommend for various missions and where/how you get them:

- Wade's Fav (Attribute): +10 to all attributes. Beat Nick Fury on Legendary difficulty.
- Overpower III (Advanced Combat): Crushing attacks deal 20% more Dmg. Defeat Diamondback on Legendary difficulty in the level "Hold The Line"
- Overpower II (Advanced Combat): Crushing attacks deal 10 more Dmg. Defeat Captain America (pro-reg playthrough)
- Reserves IV (Powers): +100% max Stamina. Defeat Titanium Man on Legendary difficulty.
- Infinity Formula (Counter Tactics): +20% Stamina Regen. Nick Fury heroic deed (Defeat 5 foes with a single non-Fusion attack)

Teams will vary, though I rely heavily on the "Natural Forces" team: Thor, Jean, Iceman, and Human Torch (you can put Storm in this group as well for the same bonus, but I found she'd die quickly so went with Iceman instead as my 4th).

On to the sim missions themselves:

Basic Training
- any team & boosts, doesn't matter as it's not possible to not get a gold on this without completing it

Heavy Metal & Heavier Metal
- Thor, Jean, Iceman, Human Torch -- Gives "Natural Forces" - 5% damage inflicted as health gain
- Wade's Fav, OverPower II, OverPower III
- Spawn 5 on one side, use Thor's cn_RTcn_B to kill all 5, then do other side, repeat. Heavier Metal is trivial with this approach (I doubled the required score), but Heavy Metal will likely be tight (I hit gold with about 5-10 secs remaining).

How Are De Ducks?
- Thor, Jean, Iceman, Human Torch -- Gives "Natural Forces" - 5% damage inflicted as health gain
- Wade's Fav, Reserves IV, Infinity Formula
- Use Jean and go crazy with her cn_RTcn_X power.

Wanton Destruction
- Thor, Jean, Iceman, Human Torch -- Gives "Natural Forces" - 5% damage inflicted as health gain
- Wade's Fav, Reserves IV, Infinity Formula
- Mostly use Jean's cn_RTcn_X power. Don't worry about the Dr. Doom statues in the opening area, just focus on moving through the 4 rooms destroying the bulk of the stuff in each room.

Adrenaline Rush
- Thor, Jean, Iceman, Human Torch -- Gives "Natural Forces" - 5% damage inflicted as health gain
- Wade's Fav, Reserves IV, Infinity Formula
- Go crazy with Thor's cn_RTcn_B and Jean's cn_RTcn_X

Adrenaline Surge
- Deadpool, Captain America, Wolverine, Daredevil -- Gives "Martial Artists" - +5 striking
- Wade's Fav (+10 all attributes) (under Attribute), Strike True III (+15% Melee Dmg) (under Basic Combat), Vampiric Melee (+4 HP with every melee attack) (under Special Combat)
- use Deadpool and milk the cn_Acn_Bcn_A combo, rolling to farther away enemies and firing fusions when you get in trouble

Countdown
- Thor, Jean, Iceman, Human Torch -- Gives "Natural Forces" - 5% damage inflicted as health gain
- Wade's Fav, Reserves IV, Infinity Formula
- Go crazy with Thor's cn_RTcn_B and Jean's cn_RTcn_X. This one's super easy with this team and these boosts.

Search and Destroy
- Thor, Jean, Iceman, Human Torch -- Gives "Natural Forces" - 5% damage inflicted as health gain
- Wade's Fav, Reserves IV, Infinity Formula
- Use Jean and go crazy with her cn_RTcn_X power. Focus on stuff on the outer edges first, and then go back and mop up as necessary.

Command
- Thor, Jean, Iceman, Human Torch -- Gives "Natural Forces" - 5% damage inflicted as health gain
- Wade's Fav, Reserves IV, Infinity Formula
- Use Torch, run to the first command point, sit it in and block (when Torch blocks he takes no damage). Repeat for the other 8 points. As you move from command point to command point, maybe use his cn_RTcn_B power to take a pot shot at groups for a few extra points. I found this one tight for points (hit gold with like 1 sec remaining). A bit of luck here, as the order of the command points is random.

Pinned
- Thor, Jean, Iceman, Human Torch -- Gives "Natural Forces" - 5% damage inflicted as health gain
- Wade's Fav, Reserves IV, Infinity Formula
- Mostly use Jean's cn_RTcn_X power. When you get a fusion do a guided one with another hero. When big robots show up, use Thor's cn_RTcn_B to take them down quickly. The key here is the team, as you get health from damage, so the CPU teammates never die as they get healed up, and you get a huge bonus for all 4 being alive at the end.

Breakout
- Thor, Jean, Iceman, Human Torch -- Gives "Natural Forces" - 5% damage inflicted as health gain
- Wade's Fav, Reserves IV, Infinity Formula
- Torch is your guy here. The idea is that you get enough time & points from rescuing hostages built up that you can then find a robot by himself and just spam Johnny's cn_RTcn_A attack to build points. Once you're at 80K & have the gold, retreat back to the starting point where you cannot possibly be seen and wait for the clock to run down, as it doesn't matter how many points you have, if you're caught you get nothing. This one will take some trial and error because it's A) random, B) sometimes AI seems to magically see you when they shouldn't be able to, and C) the AI pathfinding is abysmal so the people you rescue will often get stuck. This one is frustrating, plain and simple as there's a huge luck component to it. This is the video of me finishing off the gold for this one:



Final note: these are the teams and boots I used to get golds, it's entirely possible (in fact probable) that there are better combinations. If you have any, please share them in the comments. :)
