An expansion to the above after completing this cheeve today:

- Move into the centre of the ring to meet your apponent
- Hold Right and Left Triggers
- Hold L stick to the LEFT, and Right stick UP + Left. This puts your guard high and makes your fighter lean away.

Holding these positions will cause most punches to miss, or glance off your guard for minimal damage. Combine this with rotating the sticks with your opponents punches to dodge if it looks like he is going for body shots or stepping shots.

Now, keep this up until your opponent has blown most of his stamina and you can see his punches are considerably slower.

- After opponent takes a swing and misses hit Y (Straight shot) followed by X+Y (Uppercut). Depending how much this rocks him, you can often hit him again with a couple more Y's

- Don't get greedy. The more punches you throw, the more chance the opponent has to land shots on you and mess up your timing.

-Save your signature hits until your opponent has missed with a slow swing on low stamina.

Using this method I was only knocked down once early on when I was still practicing this method. From then on I didn't hit the canvas at all, and taking the wins in the 3rd round.

I first played this game on the easiest difficulty, and got battered around the ring, being knocked down several times, because I didn't know this tactic.
