To sim this achievement is a very easy and quick method to get the achievement, however if you want to nab this achievement while grinding out these other achievements at the same time, then this solution may work for you.
The Drafted achievement in NHL 17 worth 44 pointsHave your Be a Pro player drafted in Be a Pro mode while playing an entire season in the CHL. The Elite achievement in NHL 17 worth 135 pointsGrow your Be A Pro Character to 90+ Overall in Be a Pro. The Promoted achievement in NHL 17 worth 40 pointsGet your Be A Pro Player promoted to the 1st line in the NHL in Be a Pro. The That's Number 50! achievement in NHL 17 worth 45 pointsPlay and score your 50th NHL goal in a single season as a rookie in Be a Pro. These other two achievements regard position lock, which is entirely what be a pro is. Also, pick either Sniper/playmaking Center as your be a pro. It will provide you with the most advantage to get the most of your time playing.
The Dish Master achievement in NHL 17 worth 26 pointsRecord 4 assists with one player while player or position locked. The Hat trick hero achievement in NHL 17 worth 20 pointsScore 3 goals with one player while player or position locked. NHL 17 be a pro mode as been updated with a newer and sleeker means to grinding out these achievements.
Start your career in the CHL and set your periods to 8 mins, you will play roughly three shifts per period (estimated 9-11total per game) and do your best to rack up anywhere from 1-5 points per game and maintain the goals set out for you by the coach. By meeting the required grades in offense, defense, and team play the coach and management will be happy and move you up the lines, which will slightly increase shifts per game. Also, try and not make any infractions, lose fights and honestly do anything negative because it can have detrimental effects. Yet, the goals they outline are easy enough.
Anyway, it will take roughly 10mins to play each game in full guaranteeing that you get the most XP possible. If you play every game in the CHL, league playoffs, and memorial cup you will not only ensure a good draft position, but by following the simple steps above, your player should be hovering around 80+ overall by the time they are drafted.
Now I haven't achieved developer yet, but I can say that following my method and after playing 10 games in the NHL my player is an 86 overall and I estimate in 15-20 games I will be at 90. Also, if you can maintain at least a goal to 3 per game you can net the achievement for first goal, but more importantly you can knock out 50 goals as a rookie.
Its still a small grind but much, much, MUCH faster than last year. As an avid RPG player I just imagine my player as though I was leveling up any RPG character, and the speed at which it can be done, is not nearly as tumultuous and nauseating as years passed. (Or like the length of this solution)
Anyway, remember, always keep your stick on the ice. And if they don't find you handsome make sure they find you handy.
