Fearless Vampire Slayer achievement in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

You get this achievement for completing the Level 22 Witcher contract "Mystery of the Byways Murders" that you can get in Oreton.

In the fight, I used Vampire Oil on my weapon and the Igni sign and he went down fairly quickly. You can also use Axii to stun him if you need time to heal.

**** Adding Note (below) from BegForMercy as this (like a lot of achievements in this game) appears to be bugging out for some people. Tested this for other achievements and this trick appears to work for most of the achievements that don't pop. Make sure you save often, especially before turning in quests with achievements. ******

Matodion 1st - If you have a save before you fought the edimmara, try BegFourMercy's suggestion. I had several achievements in this game glitch on me and didn't know the fix until it was too late. Hopefully, it's not too late for you.

If it glitched on you, just start a New Game on the Blood and Wine DLC. You can start the quest and complete it within 15 minutes.

@MitchOss Will your workaround work on the non-GotY version of the game with the Season Pass installed? From the title screen, if I click on New Game I have four options 1. Fresh start, 2. Hearts of Stone only, 3. Blood and Wine only, 4. New Game+. The 2nd and 3rd ones say main storyline quests are disabled, so I should choose the 4th? Or am I out of luck since I don't have the GotY edition?

@coip Witcher contracts aren't main story quests. They are still available to play if you start with Blood and Wine DLC
