Create and save a custom map, then quit. Invite 4 of your friends to a Fireteam.

From the main menu select - Multiplayer, Custom Game,

Go to maps and select My Files and select your own custom map and under file options select 'play in custom game', then go to settings and select slayer and low points options. Start the game.

Play to the end of the game. Bravo

Simple way to get this without boosting.

You don't need to create a map from scratch. You can take someone else's map, add an object, and save it as a new map. The game will then recognize it as your map. You can use this to "steal" a popular map to entice players into joining your game.

Start a new public custom game on that map. Wait for players to join.

I got lucky and had 12 players in my game by the time it ended. But I have a few suspicions:

* It's possible that you don't need 4 players simultaneously. I got the Community achievement (Complete a Custom Game with 7 other players on a user created map) with fewer than 7 players simultaneously; they had joined and leaved throughout the match. This achievement may be the same. Perhaps as long as three other players join throughout the duration of the match, you will get the achievement. I have not confirmed this.
* It's possible that you don't need to let the game progress until completion. The host prematurely ending the game may work too. I have not confirmed this.
