There are five mechs:

Blue Falcon
Red Tiger
Silver Wolf
Black Bear
Amber Fox

The fastest way to get this out of the way is to use Gauntlet mode. Any level is fine. Pick the first mech and any weapons, then suicide and press cn_B to go back to the menu. Select a level, then the second mech and any weapons. Repeat this process and the achievement will pop at the game over screen with the fifth mech.
