The Journey is FIFA 17's story mode where you follow Alex Hunter from a young age in the academy to the big leagues. It's an easy achievement but fairly time consuming. I recommend putting the settings to lowest difficulty and 4 minute halves to make it go faster.

You start off by completing a six-stage exit trial before picking your Premiership team. You'll make a lot of substitute appearances before eventually being loaned out to either Norwich, Aston Villa or Newcastle. You'll spend the majority of your time here building a reputation for yourself. Towards the end of the season you'll be recalled to your Premiership side to finish off the campaign. Your final match is the FA Cup Final against your biggest rival, where your childhood friend will be playing.

I figured I'd drop a few notes in case anyone was wondering about this game mode. I'm unsure if you can fail The Journey by playing poorly and losing your spot in the starting line-up. I would assume you need to play fairly well throughout to reach all the milestones to progress the story.

WiznyattGood advice. I'd also recommend playing as "Team" instead of just controlling Alex Hunter. Just work the ball to Hunter and once you have 3 goals in the game you automatically have the max rating for the match. At that point I'd just set the controller down. The computer rarely scored on me just idling until the end of the match. I also simulated almost all of my training since you are putting up a 10 rating every match even a very poor training performance won't push you out of the starting lineup. With all this it's probably still about 8 hours to complete The Journey.

Takes about 37 or so matches. Takes forever. Didn't seem to make any difference if I simmed the practices or did them...storyline continued anyway, It'll end sometime in the month of May and I don't feel that I skipped any matches, even though my squad was about 25 points ahead of #2.

sonnyliston1You have to complete the first season, including the cup if you get to the final. End of May for the premier league. You can get two red cards to sim some games and also sim training which can result in being on the bench, this can save some time. Slow and painful no matter what with a lot of cut scenes.

Vulker707Not really related to the achievement, but I couldn't find anything online relating to my problem. I have played through to February 18, 2017 of the My Journey season. I unlocked 3 (or 4) of the 5 FUT rewards. I messsd up on one of the trainings so I pressed the home button and quit. Re-entered, and got an A. But now it is showing all 5 are locked. Anyone know anything about this?
